I keep on saying, if illegal aliens can do the job, the criminals in our prison system can do it too.

There's prisoner strike going on right now, btw.

They think they are being mistreated, remove all amenities except the basics that are required under Geneva convention and then let then complain.

And you want to reward the heavily subsidized, lobbying farmers with even cheaper labor, because...?

You think the prison systems is cheap? It costs more to keep an inmate in prison than farms are paying illegals. It costs an average of 31k a year to keep a prisoner alive in the US under the standards we use.

You give them prison workers... They lose their subsidisation.

I think it's a fair trade; they don't pay for workers, they don't get a discount.

Riight, the taxpayer gains what in return, excatly... except moderately cheaper strawberries? And the farmer employer will have to use prison workers, or is that just a government gift afforded to that particular sector?
