The planet is not in danger. It will go on with or without us. Environmentalism is a selfish luxury. Only people who can afford it care about it. When people stop worrying about food, health, a decent place to live, security and education for their children, can they start caring about the environment.
What produces these things? A free capitalist market economy that continuously produces more and more with less and less is the only way if you want to arrive in a world where everyone can afford to care about the environment.
Oh so that's why Africans, Indians and nearly every other race except Europeans treat the environment like shit. Maybe we should throw more money at them until they quit littering.
the white people didn't care either, until they had the luxury to care
high living standards are a helluva drug
can't create high living standards on a scale that big with government handouts
but yeah once they get rich, all of a sudden they start caring about the environment
hence why the environmental activists are often upper class whites from wealthy nations
but you know, reality kind of flies in the face of the fake environmentalist narrative
that a thriving economy is bad for the environment
so they don't like to talk about that
if they do, then people might want free market solutions to environmental problems
instead of authoritarian central planning "solutions"
so they try to sweep these facts under the rug
pretending to care for the environment is simply a ruse
to justify using government force to control the behavior of others
and if you propose things that will help the environment
that don't use government force to control the behavior of others
they reject them, because in reality they care more about control than the environment
if many of the environmental problems are reduced without authoritarian central planning
then they would need another excuse to justify the authoritarian central planning
and they are loathe to give up "for the earth"
