No one really questions that - the argument is whether it’s social economic or genetic factors that cause it. Goes back to IQ - dumb people are more likely to commit violent crime because they lack the ability to think ahead. No one debates (average) black IQ is lower than the rest of humanity. What is debated is why. I’m on the fence - I default to social economic because there’s no hard proof low black IQ is genetic, but I understand there is a possibility it could be.
I surmise genetic studies will eventually come out and shed light. It could very well also be a combination of the two, as in blacks may have some genes whose expressions are triggered by environmental factors - could also be the case the rest of humanity has the same genes but that most of us are in environments that don’t trigger the bad types of expression.
I also tend to think the welfare state devastated blacks far more than Jim Crow.
Pre-1970 blacks seemed to have been making steady progress, but LBJ stopped them in their tracks.
The key to flipping the black vote is helping them the last two points.
Also need to show them socialism is not the solution to government corruption.
