Not sure what to make of it. Seems like the cop charging him and shoving him out a door and against the wall spooked him enough to draw down.

Still, they did say he was being arrested beforehand, so the only viable response is to comply.

Really sad story, their partner was an acquaintance, I ran into them both a few days before the shooting.

This person died in view of their daughter.

I didn’t know before the story that they carried a gun or that they served in the military.

Looking at the video I don’t see how the cops had a choice.

This person was very involved as an activist and viewed their minority status as making them a target, and they truly felt that carrying a gun was necessary to be protected from racists and the police.

It’s crazy how self-fulfilling that prophecy was.
