I'll check out the Aztecs one because I find them interesting as well. I knew he was doing them I've just been hesitant to give him a chance for some reason. Based on what I'm hearing he has kind of a Dan vibe pop history schtick going on and I've already been burned once. I like Darryl because he isn't a massive flaming homo so his pop history takes are interesting to me. I think he cucks on race a little. Kind of like a Jarred Diamond GG&S vibe from him when he talks about how barbaric humans are. But whatever. It's not that I mind if he is implying we are all barbaric and were in the past, I just feel like he is leaving out important racial dynamics in some of his takes.

I can't into bollelli. I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger on him. Sell me on bollelli.
What can I say...
My favorite Bolleli was his series on Cortez and the Aztecs.... this is one of my favorite history series of all time.
If you don't like that series - I can't help you or sell you on this guy... just forget it.
Joan of Arc was my next favorite.
Slave Wars were epic.
Native American stuff is only interesting if you are into native americans...
Teddy Roosevelt was cool cause he was pretty badass.
Caravaggio - same reason - even Jack Johnson... Bolleli likes badass crazy dudes and the pirate chick episode was kind of similar... plus fire boats.
Gladiators was also very cool...
47 Ronin was ok.
You can take a pass on the Italian mafia episodes... I didn't like those...
How does Cooper cuck on race? Which episode you referring to dude? He doesn't really talk about whiteness and wasp and Germanic peoples etc. In his essentially few total episodes there are only a handful of topics anyway so I mean ? You should at least credit him for giving Greg Johnson a fair interview ...and let's face it, if you're left of National Socialism you likely think anyone is cucked, am I right ?

You cannot square racism with Christianity. You can be a realist about IQ and about the Welfare State and all the bullshit culture that pozzes society but its not just some other race that has fucked the West. Its actually more than anything else the European people themselves that did that. They are so smart they thought their way out of existences, or very damn near to it.

Actually racism squares quite well with Christianity. Granted, it will only square with the OT. I don't think anyone is in denial about the role white people have played in their own downfall.

To answer your question it is like I said. He doesnt really cuck on race, he just doesn't go hard enough when he could.

Wrong, a ton of European and American people are ignorant of what they did to themselves. Whether its the European Holocaust *(WWI + WWII + Cold War), the immigration policies, the low birth rates, the critical theory bullshit, and other countless examples of Euro self destruction. Yet many many people don't see it that way.

The right is tired of the left blaming white people for their problems... casting every other race as victims and idealizing the other, which they certainly do...
As a result the right tends to veer in the opposite direction to compensate.
It's not really that complicated.

We aren't talking about the same thing/s. What you said is essentially true but it isn't all of what I wrote about. It can be persuasively argued that Europeans above all other ethnicity/races have embraced the most destructive ideas/values. These came from the Reformation, Enlightenment, Communism, Critical Theory, Post Modernism, Intersectionality. Only White People are as completely self destructive to adapt such masochistic bullshit.

looooooool. Fukuyama uses the exact same thought process as Marxists. If you replace Communism with Capitalism and Democracy, they are identical. Identical. What a hack... How was this guy ever taken seriously?

I wish Fukuyama's parents had read this book when he was born, rather than allow him to write his own...

Image
Have you read Fukuyama's "origins of political order"?
It doesn't sound like you have.
The book is tight.

His historical examples are potent.
I learned a ton about the origins of post tribal civilizations and how their political organizations led to the break from tribalism.
He goes in detail over these transformations in China, India, the Middle East and Europe...
The role of burocracies in china, religious orders in India, the janissaries in the middle east and christianity in Europe...
Ultimately it was Europe and Christianity that had the most success in undermining tribalism and developing the rule of law and non-tribal institutions and therefore the most effective political order... maximized under the British and less successful in the Spanish and Russian Empires...
I mean he makes sense of the world we live in. The guy is worth his salt.
Have not read origins of political order. Found some excerpts online. It looks to me like a fancy dressed up version of End of History. Back to his old tricks...

Again, this guy is not even original. This is an old game since Darwinism to take the idea of natural selection and say that society is also evolving toward whatever is fashionable and trendy. Whatever values at the moment is considered ideal is what we are all moving towards and these values are what will become the norm. Been done many times by people as diverse as Fascists, Communists, and F A Hayek. These theories are a fundamental misreading of Darwin. Natural selection is directionless. Doesn't have some endpoint. Neither does society. If you are a Christian or religious, you can say we are following God's plan, but as a secular person (I'm guessing based on your posts) you are ascribing meaning and development (a Marxist idea) to a process that is by definition meaningless and random. Fukuyama admits he was inspired by Kojeve and Hegel. His ideas very strongly resemble Marx's. When Marxist thinkers and leaders were confronted with incredible failures they would always say that it was a temporary set back and that ultimately a global communism would still occur, even if it was not going to happen in the immediate present, which is exactly what Francis did when his idea was disproved by events in the post cold war world. Not scientific at all, pure religion dressed up in historical
and economic garments.

So I see you haven't read it but are prepared to dismiss it outright because Darwin and Hegel are all talking out of their ass...
and Marx... of course these thinkers are all the same... best to dismiss them all without consideration...
All of it is just religion.

I smell intellectual laziness in your argument.

It is pungent.

I think anybody who speaks of some ideology as an "end of history" is probably full of poop. It's pungent enough without having to read the book. If he's not full of shit, you can elaborate and fill us in on what he is really trying to say.

The idea that globalist capitalism is the end of history is laughable, to say the least. Automation is set to end capitalism possibly in our own lifetimes.

And lets face it, white people were the ones who advanced civilization past previous civilizational benchmarks...
The positives and the negatives are two sides of the same coin.

Really moving beyond tribalism required a brutal breakdown of social relatedness.
Individualism was both how we progressed and how we lost our connection to community, kin and soul/spirit/God.
We are reaping the harvest of all this social disruption for better and for worse.
The harvest is rich in consumer goods, longer lifespans, profits but harsh in addiction, depression, hostile dependence etc.
And non-white people want in on the spoils and sadly get dragged into the downside along with us, quite voluntarily I might add...

We might be nostalgic for the old ways... but the genie won't go back in the bottle...
And as Pinker likes to remind us... the old ways weren't exactly all they were cracked up to be either,
unless you were particularly into dying young or in combat or from starvation/disease.
But it was perhaps more authentic and less dubious as to what it all meant.

If the genie doesn't go back in the bottle, then neither will the world have an advanced civilization. It comes from us.

The reason so many hate us is that the world literally revolves around white people. White people are the ones who make most of the discoveries. We are the ones who make the great innovations. We are the ones who pulled the world up out of the dark ages. Even in advanced Asia, it still revolves around us. They fly western-style aircraft. They use western science. And all of that is motivated by western economies that drive the course of human civilization towards the stars.

No white people and backward everybody goes.
