Congrats. Winning the made-up Battle of the Flags is like winning a beauty contest in a Leper colony.

$800/mo for me, and they are looking to jump the cost another 5% this year.DBTrek wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 10:24 amAbout $300-$400 a month. Incredible increase to pay for the costs of Americans who don’t give a fuck about their own health.heydaralon wrote: ↑Sat Jan 05, 2019 1:09 pm
How much have your premiums jumped since ACA? Mine have skyrocketed. It fucking rages me. My parents told me that they are paying more for health insurance too.
Nope, there isn't. National healthcare isn't the answer issue, this is the reason why the ACA was put in place the first time, they knew exactly that rates would become outrageous, and in turn they knew that if the ACA was ever dismantled it would have to be replaced with a new system, because not only have people become dependent on it, but so have health care systems.
ERs are already staffed with NPs and PAs; you only see a Dr if SHTF, and several States already allow NPs to see patients. The problem is that since insurance is covering it, why choose an NP? In fact, a lot of insurances won’t cover NPs. The problem isn’t medicine, and it’s not supply, it’s systemic. But voters only elect Aristrocrat-makers or Socialists, no place for in-between solutions.DBTrek wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 6:12 pmWe need to start a 2yr certification program for licensed ‘shamans’ who perform services consummate with combat medics for reasonable cash or trade.
Broken arm? Shaman can fix that. Concussion? Shaman can help. Non-lethal bullet wound? Shaman is on it. Flu? Shaman has your OTC meds right here.
Stage 2 cancer? Go to the hospital.
I was under the impression the bigger problem was states that require any NP or PA to be under the direct supervision of a doctor. Same reason you have to go to a dentist's office to get your teeth cleaned, not a walk in teeth cleaning clinic.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 6:41 pmERs are already staffed with NPs and PAs; you only see a Dr if SHTF, and several States already allow NPs to see patients.
