anyone else here that would not be at all surprised to find a 17/18/19/whatever year old brett kavanaugh was indeed responsible for the accused acts? anyone else here that would also be ok with him still sitting on the supreme court after that fact? besides me

4th amendment issues aside
It would not surprise me that incidents like this may have happened. The one truth I feel we have gotten from all of this is that he did drink a lot and to excess in his younger days. He grew up privileged, and was probably kind of an a-hole. While not someone I would have been close friends with back then, I also realize this was 30+ years ago. (Most) people grow up and become much more responsible as they age. I don't really like him as a SCOTUS pick, but it sounds like he is qualified based on his working career. I'm not convinced some douchebag actions from HS and college disqualify him, even if they are true.

I do have issue with the accusers. Their timing, background, and swiss cheese recollections are all very suspect. It's just as likely that these stories were fabricated knowing that his background of drinking could be used to help sell them as it is likely they really happened.

Is it MAGA to not care whether your SC pick is a sexual offender so long as an anti abortion supporter gets selected?
Seems like some shitty double standards.
The double standard is Democrats using unsubstantiated claims to try and disqualify a SCOTUS candidate, yet being prefectly fine with a POTUS who had substantiated claims made against him. Then backed his wife for POTUS when she helped to bury those accusers credibility and their stories while standing by her raping, groping, lying, adulterous man.

Two women have come forward to make accusations so far. If that doesn't lead at least to an investigation there is something rotten going on.

Did Cuntflop ever accuse me off sexually assaulting him personally or are you confusing allegations with baseless insults?
If make a similar accusation against you, that makes two. Now the allegations of you being a ped are credible, right?

Precisely right, in a world where leftists are held to their own standards. We can certainly hold them to their own standards here.

He’s not blind, but he is an accused sex offender - which according to his own standards makes him an actual sex offender.

Agree 100%. It's Trump's pick, he's perfectly entitled to pick a swamp creature. These accusations are ridiculous. Not one of us is a saint. It's only going to get worse as reviewing someone's entire life through social media posts becomes the new norm.

They also don't care about victims. If the women are telling the truth, then the Dems only used them as tools to aid them in holding off the SCOTUS nomination. If they believed the story and cared about the victims this would not have been sat on until just before the vote. If they don't believe the story, then they are telling actual victims of sexual assault that their cause doesn't matter.

So now an anonymous accusation on a little forum is the same as testifying before a Senate committee?
Granted I should have said alleged sex offender, I'll admit my mistake but don't try to say my situation is the same.
If anyone wants to make a public accusation about me using their real name then go ahead, I will be glad to take you to court for slander and sue you for every penny you have.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.
