Well, consider that under capitalism you’re spending time writing about your frustrations on NFL broadcasts having commercials. Then think about what people surviving under non-capitalist systems are probably complaining about.

Capitalism blesses itself.
;)
I’m not proposing another economic system here. I’m simply pointing out that this has nothing to do with economics.

In a free market, I’d be able to stream any game for free, because the advertisers are paying for it.

Even if I have to pay $10/month or something, it still makes more sense than this moronic exclusive deal.

In a free market ... you get your entertainment for free ... because advertising buys it for you?

Not sure I’m sold on that.
Though YouTube would agree.

I want free beer, pork, and blowjobs with my free market football.

I might even watch some of the "football" in exchange for my free stuff.

Seems like a great solution to the scarcity problem, eh?

“We solved it, advertisers pay for everything. No one lacks anything.”

All you need are advertisers with bottomless pockets and that economic model is ready for prime time.

You mean “the entire model of broadcast television to this point”?

Yeah, that’s what I mean. It works well for broadcast television, radio, and YouTube. Not sure it’s widely applicable outside of that. Trying to think of an area where it has ever been applied outside of electronic media.

Also works for every website on the internet that doesn’t have a paywall.

That would still be electronic media.

Has that model ever applied to a physical good or professional service though?

I want every movie that Amazon sells or that I can find on ebay free streamed to my iPad while I'm in the juan or out sitting on my boat.

That's how it was always done before, back when we got good old ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS. That was good enough for us back in the day.

Now I also find out that my parents weren't just pulling my lariat when they said that ESPN, WGN, and WTBS cost money. I bitched about it even back in '79: Then why am I watching all these fucking commercials, dad??!?.

Capitalists, man. Always out to screw over the working man, with all their newfangled gadgets and goodies -- at a price.

The fact that I still can’t stream games, or play any football game other than Madden is stunning on its own.

Completely ass backwards business sense.
EA paid them a boatload of money for those exclusive rights and they have massive control of content within that game. That is a great deal for them. The streaming the audience and tech ain't there for that and it undermines their television partners.
"The tech ain't there to stream football games". Wow.

On the consumer side genius. One of the biggest complaints about the Facebook live games was about buffering and constant feed interruptions, some compared it to watching it on dialup.
