"Hatred towards multiculturalism" must be criminalized..
Think about that. He places jihadis calling for the murder of Britons on par with people criticizing the multilculturalist policies that brought those jihadis to Britain.
Wow.

Both can be a problem. I'm not questioning the motive behind the law. I take great issue with the language of it.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sat Aug 25, 2018 10:22 am"Hatred towards multiculturalism" must be criminalized..

It prohibits incitement to racial or religious hatred. Makes no difference whether it's 6 people huddled in a basement or a nut job in the park shouting dodgy Churchill quotes through a megaphone. The court has to show incitement.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Sat Aug 25, 2018 10:11 amDoes the legislation include a provision for doing it in public? Or does it prohibit ANY hate speech ANYWHERE?Montegriffo wrote: ↑Sat Aug 25, 2018 10:04 amSo your argument boils down to "if you can't stop someone stirring up racial hatred at home they should be able to stand on a street corner with a megaphone doing it".
Would you apply that twisted logic to any other crimes?
You can't catch every speeding car so my freedom to drive at 100 mph in the school district shouldn't be impeded.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

And how do you expect they'll enforce this measure?Montegriffo wrote: ↑Sat Aug 25, 2018 10:31 amIt prohibits incitement to racial or religious hatred. This justifies home monitoring, street cameras, mass surveillance of all kinds.
They didn't think about what they were writing. They just jizzed some feelz into law.

No I'm placing Britain First inciting a man to hack down an MP on a par with hate preaching leading to the death of Lee Rugby.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sat Aug 25, 2018 10:22 am"Hatred towards multiculturalism" must be criminalized..

Criticism doesn't come into it. That's just you trying to derail the conversation. It is not against the law to criticise someone's beliefs. That is not the same as inciting hatred.

So, when the radical Islamist groups ( which the majority are probably there illegally in the first place) screamed in a mass meeting ”DEATH TO AMERICA/DEATH TO ENGLAND” would anything be done?Montegriffo wrote: ↑Sat Aug 25, 2018 10:31 amIt prohibits incitement to racial or religious hatred. Or how about when they pray in the middle of a street, or March in a street to block traffic for whatever reason?
Will they get the same treatment of the UK citizens?

Shouting death to America is inciting violence and doing that is illegal most places.
That would get you arrested in both the US and the UK.
Vapid as ever.

He should really take up smoking, that extra 2.8 years of brain aging would make a huge difference.
