Both can be a problem. I'm not questioning the motive behind the law. I take great issue with the language of it.

It prohibits incitement to racial or religious hatred. Makes no difference whether it's 6 people huddled in a basement or a nut job in the park shouting dodgy Churchill quotes through a megaphone. The court has to show incitement.

Criticism doesn't come into it. That's just you trying to derail the conversation. It is not against the law to criticise someone's beliefs. That is not the same as inciting hatred.

So, when the radical Islamist groups ( which the majority are probably there illegally in the first place) screamed in a mass meeting ”DEATH TO AMERICA/DEATH TO ENGLAND” would anything be done?

Or how about when they pray in the middle of a street, or March in a street to block traffic for whatever reason?

Will they get the same treatment of the UK citizens?
