Out of the frying pan into the fire.

Your world view is being rejected...
By a few fascists in a notoriously unstable country. Wait 6 months (tops) and Italy will have a new government. Almost 70 governments since the war.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

General trend is against migrants - read the article.....not just Italy....

Turns out people don't like their towns being mass invaded by foreigners. Who knew

Read Infowars for a balanced reporting of the current situation? No thanks.

NBC should be left enough https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna883441

This always happens, historically. Policies got too far to the right, so a swell of popularity shows up for the left, who in turn starts to go loopy-loony, which causes people to move to the right.

Remember that the hardcore in the left & right do not decide elections. It's the 40% in the middle that make the decisions, and they fluctuate based on which side is currently less crazy. Europe will be swinging right; your policies are just getting too crazy.

Which policies are those then?
The one where we refuse to let refugees drown in the Mediterranean, the one where breaking your bail conditions and committing contempt of court gets you locked up or is it the one where you need to be 18 to buy a whisk?

Another mystery; how come, Doctors Without Borders pick up refugees almost off the beach in Libya and then transport them all the way to Italy? Wouldn't it be much easier to drop them off in Tunisia? Wouldn't that also make the trips harder to sell for the smugglers that are getting rich putting people in rickety rafts?
