That's hilarious. I told you that guy was a cunt going in.

Now.. if the Queen exercised her right to abolish that ridiculous institution, I would be cheering her on.
What ridiculous institution are you referring to?
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Sort of.

I think the funny part of our revolution is how they had to create this myth that we were really fighting against the king when it was the parliament that did all that horrendous shit. I guess they had to attack the king because they just wanted to replicate a democracy when it was a half-assed democratic body was what brought a world of shit down upon us in the first place.

Enlightenment people are a funny breed.

Funny you should say that.
Old one ball suspended the German Parliament and parallels are being drawn...

Not that a new government temporarily suspending Parliament is unconstitutional. It's perfectly normal for this to happen but what is clearly fuckery is the timing. The plan is to stop Parliament from passing a law to make a no-deal Brexit illegal by leaving only a week before the October 31st deadline to leave the EU.
It is a risky strategy though as it almost guarantees a vote of no confidence and a general election which is most likely to remove the Conservative party from power and instal Comrade Corbyn as supreme leader.
A Labour government or more likely a coalition government of Labour, Scottish Nationals, Liberal Democrats and the Greens will result in a second referendum.
This may well turn out to be a case of Boris shooting himself in the foot.

The US is a Constitutional Republic, of course, we don't approve of democracies.

Just so I understand, you think the same Parliament that couldn't pass a law to prevent a no-deal Brexit in multiple votes over several months before the original March deadline, and which has failed since to pass any law preventing it in the months since the deadline was extended, are now suddenly going to pass one? I mean, it's not like they haven't been debating and introducing attempts to stop it for, oh, the better part of a year now...

False dichotomy. A republic and a democracy are not opposing things, nor something that cannot exist alongside one another in one country. The "America is not a democracy, it's a republic" bullshit, is just that.

You are a democracy. A representative democracy. Same as most other democracies in the world.
Fame is not flattery. Respect is not agreement.
