Jets boss breaks rank: I’ll pay the anthem fines
https://nypost.com/2018/05/23/jets-boss ... %20buttons

“I never want to put restrictions on the speech of our players. Do I prefer they stand? Of course. But I understand if they feel the need to protest. There are some big, complicated issues that we’re all struggling with, and our players are on the front lines."
Great choice of words there Mr. CEO, saying the players are on the front lines. Not going to upset veterans any further by uttering those idiotic words.

How are they even on the front lines of anything other than a football game? They put themselves in the spotlight by protesting. If they are concerned about "issues" then do something positive to address those issues, not kneel or sit during our National Anthem.

The best college basketball player I've ever watched in person was Chris Jackson. And I've seen a LOT of college basketball in person. Nobody remembers anything about him now at all, a shame.
I used to emulate his free throw shot while playing 27 tip on many a playground court.

He was an absolute freak. I think his Tourette's and ADD had a big impact on him going soft in the head. I never got to see Iverson in person, but it was that kind of speed, plus some. What a talent.

I seem to remember some people complaining a year or so ago, about a guy who got fired from Google (or was it Apple?) who circulated an anti-SJW memo, and got fired for it. Seem to remember how much of a tragedy that was...

How did he "circulate" it? Did he use one of these?

Or was it the case that he was asked to post his thought on a compulsory diversity program he had attended and, being a good little engineer he did just what he was asked and sent it to an internal mailing list.
/shrug

Result's the same, ain't it? Voiced opinions that the company did not want to be associated with = Got fired for it.
Yeah, Cathy. Same thing.

It’s interesting that these discussions always come back to the employers right to fire someone, but never whether they should.

Corporations are perfect blame-deflection structures.
Says a guy who has never created one permanent job for anyone in his life.

“Fucking employers and their right to fire people and shit!”

What’s the alternative, genius? Employers forced to hire and keep employees detrimental to their business?
Wouldn’t hurt to force them
Profound.

Wait, what? We should force businesses to hire people they do not need?

In zero-point-two world, forcing peaceful people to do immoral shit against their will at the point of a gun is plan A.

No. But we should think about forcing them to rationalize their decisions. Same as a credit application.
SJWs are a natural consequence of corporatism.
