Take your risks. Own your behavior.
It’s not the responsibility of some outside force to mother and protect you all the time, you’re grown men.
You know what I’d say if someone tried to get me fired for a MHF post?
“Who is DBTrek? That ain’t me. Prove otherwise”
Not that hard to navigate the brave new world of the information era if you don’t operate like a complete dumbass.
(Granted, upon re-reading this there does seem to be some conflict between “own your behavior” and “deny your online identity”. Lolz. Point being, have a plan, operate mindfully, and don’t whine if you shit-post under your real name and your employer doesn’t want to deal with the collateral fallout of your bad decision making. My boss isn’t firing me because some ‘DBTrek’ guy in some obscure forum said progressives are retards)
It would not be difficult to trace your posts back your phone, now that cellular data is public. No matter how badass you may wish yourself to be, you’re just as vulnerable as the retards of Facebook.
The best part is that you may find yourself unemployed indefinitely, with no idea of why - since we can’t expect HR departments to actually justify their decisions.

Waiting for Flounder to announce the opening of his new business, where every employee will be free to call him a drooling imbecile on social media along with any and all sort of posts that (in the name of the company) directly insult whatever kind of customer base he can gather up.
Should be loaded with fun and profit.

Meh. Maybe I just don’t hire anyone that’s ever posted something that I disagree with. I can spent an evening reading their entire online history, before throwing their resume in the trash.
Yep, only the most god-fearing drones for my company. No agitators or negative-reviewers here, no sir.

Oh really? Do it then. PM me my phone number and I’ll PayPal you $20, since it’s so easy. Should be the easiest $20 you ever made. I’m pulling PayPal up right now. Just send my phone number and the email account you want me to deposit the cash to.

That probably wouldn’t pay the fees to investigate you. If I were running a corporation however, it couldn’t be easier. I’d just hire one of these guys:

Or Amazon, no doubt, would be happy to provide me your shopping history.

So ... you’re not going to easily identify me for a free $20.
Ok.
How much do you think my employer is willing to spend to investigate whether I’m “DBTrek” or not, since nothing in the world associates their company with the MHF handle “DBTrek”?
Think they’d spend hundreds to investigate that shit? Thousands? Tens of thousands?
Or would they likely say “No DBTrek on our payroll or anywhere In our records, so not worth a fucking dime investigating this shit”?
I give you 50/50 odds of coming up with the right answer.

+1
Kaepernick reduced his value to the company's bottom line to zero. The QB, is the Public Relations Face of most franchises. You can't have your PR man out there pissing off 2/3rds of your customers.

Here's a piece from our boy Clay worth thinking about:
The NFL Anthem Controversy Is Bad Business
Instead of taking action against Kaepernick and hoping the protest would die of its own volition, the NFL did nothing to Kaepernick. As a result the NFL is now in the middle of its third straight year of dealing with the protest, league ratings have plummeted 20%, and television partners are losing hundreds of millions of dollars.
Yet the NFL has still tried to avoid offending anyone by implementing a new anthem policy which is far less stringent than the NBA’s policy — requiring players and coaches to stand for the anthem on the field or to remain in the locker room if they don’t want to stand for the anthem. If players fail to comply with the policy then the team will be fined. Meaning that unlike Abdul-Rauf no player has faced a fine or a suspension for any political protest in the NFL. Despite the fact that the NFL has been more lenient for on-field political statements during the anthem than the NBA was, the far left wing sports media has praised the NBA to the high heavens and castigated the NFL.
The most ridiculous aspect of this coverage came yesterday when Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr ripped the NFL’s new anthem policy saying as follows: “Typical of the NFL. Appealing to their fanbase. Basically just trying to use the anthem as fake patriotism, nationalism. Idiotic.”
We’ve truly reached an upside down world when a business appealing to its fanbase is considered to be a bad thing.
The best college basketball player I've ever watched in person was Chris Jackson. And I've seen a LOT of college basketball in person. Nobody remembers anything about him now at all, a shame.
