Did someone answer? I'll try.

They play for different audiences. If they declare that the relations with Russia have improved and the "unfortunate incident" of shooting down the Fencer is now behind the two, perhaps as still being an ally to the US, you might say something that pleases the Americans.

It's not typical just for Turkey, it's quite common in the Middle East. Talk one thing to one person, talk something else to another. And even talk something and do another thing. Turkey-Israeli relations are even more odd and tells why people in the Middle East are genuine conspiracy theorists.

Just like the shooting down of the Russian Fencer by Turkish Fighters (which cause the 1-year long cool period): the likely reason they did that was that the Russians were bombing insurgents with close ties to Turkey, turkmen. Now if that Fencer would have veered off into Turkey for few kilometers when bombing some in Turkish eyes hostile Kurds, likely Turkey would just have issued a complaint about the incident through diplomatic channels. Or perhaps just tap the Military attache in the back for the splendid job.

Those links were more like "If your interested, well here you go, there's the paper". It's unlikely that you can "prove" anything to people in the net. Especially when they assume your from the "opposite side" in politics.
It was all cherry picked anyways, duelling confirmation biases, never actually proved anything, nobody ever actually conceded in good faith, so what's the point? Waste of time. In the post fact world, people can only be swayed by rhetoric in the end, which is why I never bothered to wave a bunch of newspaper clippings around, just to please the likes of Ma-Douche. If you cited a source, that was what they were waiting for, so they could attack the source, so it just went round and round to no purpose, fool's errand.

You can spam up a thread with infinite cited sources, any idiot can make something complex, and often do in lieu of making a point, but true genius, is cutting through all that, to make something simple, elegant, and actually engaging, and thus far more interesting and relevant therein.

Say something useful in the shortest amount of words.

No wonder tweeting is the new fad.

True. That's the times we are living. Facts are just opinions and ignorance is strength.

How does Trump put it? Oh I remember:

Sad.

This is what they should teach in school instead of insisting on word count minimums.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

I didn't make it so, but all cited sources are tainted by cherry picked confirmation bias, because the entire world is divided along those lines, thus, I see no point, in dragging such fool's errand's up to the bar, while I'm enjoying a cocktail and a smoke, and in fact, even in the fact based world of yore, I was not at all inclined, to interrupt cocktails and cigars for such inane'ry then neither.

Cocktails? For some reason I'm surprised by that.

I guess I'm surprised by the fact those Tommies who schooled you on the difference between rugby players and soccer players would have drawn the same parallels between cocktail drinkers and drinkers of ale or whisky. Obviously I am just a homophobic bigot, pardon me for the interruption sgt maj.

Ah, well done, mess steward, that's wet me whistle now, what's the time? Oh, past 2000 hrs, eh wot? Time to get stuck in then, first, I'll have a late supper, with a bloody caesar, after which, I shall retire to the fireside, for some boilermakers, that's one after one not over and under, Jamesons and Guinness will do nicely... carry on.

Mess steward, that's fighting talk, I'm no waiter. You will find me in the kitchen spitting in your beef Wellington.
