That is kind of the purpose. Their goal was to make everyone so economically interconnected and reliant that no one would want to wage war. It is dumb, just not for the reasons you state.C-Mag wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 11:43 amHaving your weapons and weapon components made oversees is stupid for any nation that has the resources to do it themselves. The MBAs and PHDs from the Ivy League that make up are Deep State are functionally idiots. They can spend money, lives and weapons like crazy, but have no idea of the logistics involved in creating money, lives and weapons. Oh they can ship those resources around the globe just in time. But they can only move them and spend them, not create.

I agree with everything except for the bold. Both the West and Russia are going to come out of this war as losers. Russia came into this war from a position of weakness in a desperate move to get stronger. They will be coming out of this war in a position of weakness, with maybe just a slight acceleration of the future that was already known. The West on the other hand came in as the undisputed super power of the world, and got out maneuvered by Russia at every turn. That is a far bigger loss than what Russia will face. Russia has proven that Europe is reliant on Russia. That is a huge loss for the West, but will have consequences that will result in a loss for Russia too.
and that is trend that will accelerate in the future
yet another loss for Russia
talk about outmanuevered, womp womp
Even though right now parts of the EU are willing to pay Russia Rubles for the oil should tell you something.
But because it's you, you'll probably spin it another way and ignore logic again.
Russia has lost ground in Europe when it comes to energy not gained
Russian energy exports are and will continue to take a huge hit because of this war
Europe and China will have to make do with less Russian oil and gas than they did before the war
and them being traded in Rubles will not compensate for those economic loses

China and Russia are partners, no China will not have to do with less, if anything they will have a direct pipeline... wow I was right you are trying to spin it...StCapps wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 9:01 pmEurope is less dependent than before the war and moving in the direction of less dependency going forwardThe Conservative wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 4:51 amNo, Europe is still dependent on Russia, what they are doing is what every crack addict attempted to do... quit their dealer. because their source of Russian oil was a project built and run by Western oil companies
who no longer operate in Russia
the Russians lack the capability to run them on their own
both Europe and China
are going lose access to a lot of oil and gas
because of this war
China is already getting as much oil from Russia as Russia has the infrastructure to send them
so they can only get less not more
until Russia builds more infrastructure which will take years to build
Russia and China are also not partners
even China is distancing itself from Russia
since the war began
Russia has no friends of consequence
they are an international pariah
who have been isolated af
their influence is diminishing
not expanding

I’m not even sure what you’re arguing? This is obviously going to end up a frozen conflict & will remain so indefinitely. Life will go on. If we’d never heard 1 word about it in the U.S., we wouldn’t know any difference.

either this war, or in the geopolitical fallout from this war
when it's getting it's ass kicked in both
they are losing on all fronts militarily, economically and diplomatically
obvious bad idea is obvious
trying to make it seem like a good idea
now that is trying to spin things
Russia clearly fucked up
and just because the media is bashing on Russia
doesn't mean Putin is a genius playing the West for chumps in Ukraine
just because Putin has made some clever moves over the decades
doesn't make Ukraine one of them either
