I am fully aware of the context

NATO expansion, the provocations from Washington

it's actually the Democrats who have brought this down upon the Ukrainians

but nothing can justify what the Russians are doing now

11,000 Casualties sounds like complete bullshit.
Russia won't confirm obviously, but let's be honest, Russia got caught with their pants down, I can believe that the death toll on Russia's side is a lot higher than anyone is letting on.

"Putin is mass murdering Russians, Kharkiv is a Russian city"

He's pro Russian in this conflict, knows the Russian language.

Here's a quote from another post of his, sums up his perspective
I am on record already--bar some very few exceptions of a professional and objective analysis from Western professionals (i.e. Macgregor, Ritter, Armstrong, Saker et al), the reporting and analyzing Russia's operation in 404 by US military "experts", including all those senior and highest ranked officers, disqualifies them completely from being taken seriously and as people who know the subject. No wonder then to see the US war record of the last 75 years. Responding to other "professors" of what have you who spew plain simple ukie propaganda--there is no even need to discuss that. The West is in full blown war against Russia and because of that there is no low and lying they will not stoop to.
ria.ru is a Russian Gov't Backed/Owned media source... just remember that. It takes it's marching orders from the Kremlin on most things when it comes to propaganda.
We in the West need to stop pretending that other media is somehow corrupt propaganda, because ours is too and we just found out that Biden paid all the major news sources from MSNBC, to FOX to Newsmax $1 Billion to push the Jab, and they did it. Hell, I just posted two pieces from the MSM faking news.

1. The Ghost of Kiev shot down 30 airplanes
2. The video of the fake civilian casualties

We are in information warfare, all major sources are paid for. You can't say that that this isn't credible. We have to kill the 'Walter Cronkite Syndrome', where we believe shit because it was put out by the MSM.

I just read an article about this. They noted that the allies lost 20,000 over the same time period of Operation Overlord in Normandy.

Seems a bit steep.

Feels like the risk of the balloon going up is dramatically increasing.

I think there is a fair chance the Russians are going to face enormous casualties and material loss in the subsequent insurgency unless they go home, and obviously Putin can't just leave.

Everybody keeps focusing on NATO, but Russia already proved both that NATO is useless and that Russia was absolutely the biggest joke of a boogie man ever, except for the fact that they still sit on about 6k nuclear warheads. I would bet you that if all those Baltic states were to form a league they could probably fend off the Russian army as it exists right now, no problem.

But that is the problem. Those Russians completely bogged down outside of Kyiv right now are their best. Those are the guys backing, for instance, India in Kashmir right now. If China decided to invade a small country literally on the other side of one their land borders right now, it's over. Right? But Russia has no interest in Kashmir whereas China has claims on territory India controls and India just killed a few Chinese infantry last year there.

The basis for global stability was just proven pointless. What's more, these God damned corporations and banks just proved they are more powerful than nation states, including our own. They could destroy our economy too.

does seem exaggerated

although "casualties" includes killed, wounded, missing & taken prisoner

so that's a grand total of all attrition, not a kill count

like grand total of all losses ?

killed, wounded, missing, taken prisoner, and desertions ?

10,000 starts to seem plausible then

I've just resigned myself to not knowing.

The good news is Russia is calling a cease fire today to let civilians flee encircled areas.
That's good for everyone.
