Personal freedoms -Ranked by CATO. not sure I agree with it personally.

https://www.freedominthe50states.org/
That was enjoyably specific. Engineers approve.
It was specific, which is also in some cases I disagree with the rating, Mass should be right near CA for its rating... There are reasons companies are leaving Mass, and the same with people. Once their "tax incentive" to stay here ends, so do their 10-year in a lot of cases.

Not to mention, even if you live in Boston, or Mass you get hit with a "hotel tax" of sorts in Mass for just eating in Boston...

Plus Mass is "Taxachusetts" what they don't realize is they moved it from taxes to "fees"... so things could be charged to a person and not have it be claimed as a tax, which could be contended in court as illegal.

Want to park somewhere, a fee. Swim, another fee, boat, a fee... swim, another fee. You want to fix your house, a fee. Want to add on, you need to get permission by the town and a fee on top of that. You want to hold a party outside and have a fire, you need to pay a fee and tell the fire department. You want to hold a rally, a fee depending on the number of people. You want to send your kid to school, you pay a fee for them to take the bus, the fee is dependent on how far away you are from the school.

I can keep going, but those are ones I've actually dealt with in the last few years. Forget college and university fees....

Greenwald on why Trump didn’t pardon Assange and Snowden.

http://www.ronpaulinstitute.org/archive ... n-assange/

Apparently Ladyboy, the Turtle, and Rubio directly threatened POTUS to stop it.
They were making very clear to him explicitly clear Republican senators like Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio and Mitch McConnell that if you do any of those things that you are considering doing, pardoning Assange and Snowden, declassifying JFK files, declassifying other secrets that should have been declassified long ago because they're from decades old treachery on the part of the US government, we will vote to impeach you. They had this leverage the sword of Damocles hanging over his head….
SJWs are a natural consequence of corporatism.

This is why I'm not too big on Trump, but maybe he would be more willing in a second term when he can't get re-elected.

I think the 2nd term is key, and that is even if those three are still in power, there is a new group of "Republicans" coming through, and what I've heard (if it's true or not) that they may put a challenge up to those three for their seats.

Out of all that, Trump is one you're not big on?

I recognize the utility of Trump, but I've never been big on him. Trump is weak, he cares too much about what people think about him, and is easily influenced.Trump was good for exposing the corruption and issues with our government, but outside of China, he was rather bad at actually getting stuff done. He was what we needed in 2016, but in 2024 the only benefit of electing Trump is that he might be more brave since he can't be re-elected. Honestly, if Trump wants to run in 2024, I think the best thing he could do is run for Congress in 2022. Might be good experience for figuring out how to be more effective as President.

I'm not anti-Trump, I just do not see him as some savior. I see him for what he is. He is useful, but he is limited.
