It was specific, which is also in some cases I disagree with the rating, Mass should be right near CA for its rating... There are reasons companies are leaving Mass, and the same with people. Once their "tax incentive" to stay here ends, so do their 10-year in a lot of cases.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 5:05 amThat was enjoyably specific. Not to mention, even if you live in Boston, or Mass you get hit with a "hotel tax" of sorts in Mass for just eating in Boston...
Plus Mass is "Taxachusetts" what they don't realize is they moved it from taxes to "fees"... so things could be charged to a person and not have it be claimed as a tax, which could be contended in court as illegal.
Want to park somewhere, a fee. Swim, another fee, boat, a fee... swim, another fee. You want to fix your house, a fee. Want to add on, you need to get permission by the town and a fee on top of that. You want to hold a party outside and have a fire, you need to pay a fee and tell the fire department. You want to hold a rally, a fee depending on the number of people. You want to send your kid to school, you pay a fee for them to take the bus, the fee is dependent on how far away you are from the school.
I can keep going, but those are ones I've actually dealt with in the last few years. Forget college and university fees....
