Forum heads up

Not trying to be preachy boys, but if you have space, and are not planting some kind of garden or stocking up on food, you're being foolish IMHNSO. I give a shit about you guys, and I don't want you and your family hammered by high food prices. A 40 foot row of potatoes next to a fence can net you over 100 lbs. It's not hard, and it's good for your mind, body and soul.

Time for Victory gardens to fight against the globohomo food monopolies. Every dollar of food you produce, is a dollar your starve them of teaching systemic racism bullshit.
Been working on it for a while... lol. Even so, we are never going to be truly prepared until we get real space for gardens.

Cant wait for you and the family to get to SC and get going.

When you get there, if you need any advice. I'm here.
I'll take you up on that.

Man straw is expensive as hell lol. Gotta be dirt for me, but I get free wood chips every year from a tree cutter friend.

I suggest making a connection to one of those guys. They have to pay to dump chips, so they’ll be happy to drop a ton next to your garden.

Straw is cheap in my area.

I do have a tree trimmer bringing me wood chips, no cost.

Straw is normally under $5/bale here. This spring we saw prices up to $10. That’s just silly.

Are you sure you don't mean hay?
Straw shouldn't cost anything like that much.

Hay is always volatile because it is so dependant on the weather.
Prices go up as yields go down.
