For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

You know what Pontiac stands for don't you ?Montegriffo wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 6:29 amI do like the idea of people losing their gas guzzling vehicles due to stupidity though. Should have bought a Cybertruck.

Very interesting take on this. Some are beginning to realize the Big Game afoot.

It’s Communism vs. Capitalism now; no room for nuance.

If forced to choose between late-stage capitalism vs early socialism... the choice is less clear. Depends on how much you care about your kids future I guess.
And as I write that, I understand why boomers are all for it now.

Re: Supply Chain Shortages and Inflation
The answer to all of that is exactly what they are afraid of happening, the decentralization of the individual. Solar, wind, and geothermal allow us to decentralize the power grid, 3D printers will allow us to decentralize production, and vertical farming will allow us to decentralize agriculture. Right now we are at the height of human dependence on central authority. The production networks required to make everything run smoothly results in everyone being dependent on the central authorities running the networks. These technologies are going to allow for the greatest amount of decentralization since early civilization. They are afraid of this, because they know the only thing that gives them power is the centralized nature of modern society. Their solution to this is to give everyone Stockholm Syndrome for the systems they create.
