Carlin found mitch and exploited it. Like Paul Harvey, Rush Limbaugh and Art Bell. He should be remembered as an innovator for that.

However, of all those innovators I listed, hes the only one that morphed his stated beliefs as soon as he became famous and wealthy.
Also he's the only one personally picked, elevated, and embraced by the establishment, instead of building his base to the point where the establishment simply had to take notice and accept him.

Rush, Art Bell, ....and possibly Paul Harvey all had to build their following until the establishment simply couldn't ignore them (not that sure about Paul's history).

But Dan Carlin went to a meeting of elites - sanitized his past, killed his forum, and took the cash to push their message forward.
Yep, and now is pretty openly messaging for them.

I should have taken the Tshirt he offered me.

Then I could have said 10 years on DCF, and all I got was this stupid t shirt

I got a lot out of it

but it was all about the off topic banter in the threads

I learned a lot about America

both by playing devil's advocate, like my father, seeing what defenses of America would be mounted in the face

or by defending America, seeing how the attacks were specious

the drive to argue, that made me delve ever deeper into the history

I did too, that was failed humor.

I turned down the T telling Dan he gave me more than I ever gave him.

This small group of early adopters is awesome. We helped Carlin up the hill, promoted many others in our circle, great discussions, good dust ups, all in all, not a better place to shit talk out the death of the old world and creation of a new one.

at the end of it all, I love America more fully & completely than ever

the more they kick her around like a two nickel whore, the more she is Christ upon the cross

nothing else matters now, all that matters is America, last line of defense against the pagans

Carlin is siding with the elites against the desperate poor

the Democrats are the ones crossing the Rubicon, but Carlin is blaming the plebs for it
The plebs are the ones that gave the DNC power, it's not saying he is right, but there is a moniker of truth to the statement.
it's not the plebs, the plebs are with Trump

the DNC is empowered by the Academy, the National Security State & Corporate America
Definition of plebes is loose at best when it comes to party politics.

I have no problem seeing both sides of an issue

but I am not sure of my final judgments, until I have argued from both sides

it's a process of elimination, bad ideas don't become apparent, until you try to defend them

by those means do I determine the final answer, logic as my guide in the end

Hey, could be worse.
I said complimentary things and sent him $500 after thanking him for the years of shows.
... AND I didn't take the T-shirt.

Ouch!

On America

It's TRUE Smitty.

I have no logical reason to say this, but I believe traditional America wins in the end.

Call me whatever crazy for thinking this boys, I just do.

If I was going to suggest proof I'd point to wokesters getting ratio-ed constantly, to tech having to play wack a mole with dissident voices, to the absolute failure of gun grabbers to further restrict the 2A.

I just dont believe you can gather a mass movement by telling 80% of the population that they are inherently evil, and must kneel to the 20%.
