Millennials are just figuring out what their specific challenges are going to be, and how to overcome them.
and doing a worse job of it than any previous generation
while having mostly easier challenges to overcome than previous generations
yet whining like they are hardest challenges ever to overcome of any generation

Believe what you like. If you want to live in a delusion of self-defeat and project that onto our whole generation, then you will certainly fail.
Good luck.
you're the one projecting your situation on the whole generation and excusing any failures as the result of their victimhood or being younger than you
I have no such delusion that all millenials are like me, in some ways I am like them, in other ways I am not
nor do I have a delusion that I need to white knight for millenials if someone attacks them for justified reasons, just because I am a millenial too
I ain't blaming anyone other than myself for my failures in life
I look in the mirror from time to time
most millenials never do and instead point fingers at everything and everyone other than themselves
you are doing just that in a lame attempt to defend a generation that is clearly fucked up
I'm not projecting anything. I am providing a counter-example. Most of the people I know in my cohort are also doing quite well for themselves.
If you want to complain about millennials, and claim they are somehow more broken than any other generation, be my guest. It certainly isn't a problem-solving attitude, but whatever. You do you.
HAIL!
Her needs America so they won't just take his shit away like in some pussy non gun totting countries can happen.

most of the people you know in your cohort are not indicative of the generation then
the stats show your anecdotal evidence is an outlier, not the norm
no matter how much you protest to the contrary

You keep claiming they are doing worse and complaining more.
There are libraries full of books of past generations complaining - not sure where the second claim is coming from, and it sounds like bullshit.
As for the first claim - I remember all the claims about how terribly gen-x was doing compared to elder generations. They were called the slacker generation, if I recall correctly. But, they got their shit together, and you can too, buddy.

The fact that we were wrong about the upper middle-class dream doesn't mean that wasn't the dream that was sold. I'm just saying it took a minute to figure that out and find a different way to succeed.
I am living the upper middle class dream now, this is the land of milk & honey now
but back in the 80's, I wouldn't even have dreamed of this, it would have been too unrealistic
The upper middle class dream is still very achievable. That is my whole point.
To be clear, I am not saying there weren't hurdles and difficulties for boomers and gen-x. Just different hurdles. Millennials are just figuring out what their specific challenges are going to be, and how to overcome them.
like I say, it never even occurred to me when I was younger
I didn't buy a computer and go on the internet until 2006
so I just lived my own life without being part of a hive mind
I thought I was doing great, because I had young pretty girls wanting to be my lover and take care of me
it was only after I got married that I even conceived of the destination I have arrived at

I can get my shit together, sure
many millenials are another story entirely
past generations complained about things
millenials complain far more than they ever did
other generations getting their shit together
does not mean that millenials will do the same at similar success rates

Yep. Marriage is great. Makes you try.
Computers are bad. Make you give up.
That pretty much concludes my thoughts on generational antagonism.

You have a pretty low bar to call yourself a “winner.” That’s not me being an asshole, you just have never mentioned anything winnerish about yourself. I take winner’s opinions more seriously.
