The Byzantine empire was ostensibly Roman but Greece was part of Rome, so yeah.

I wouldn’t discount the achievements of the Babylonians so lightly. The ancient Arab city-states birthed civilization.

Babylonians were not Arabs. Arabs came along much later, and conquered the land that was Babylon.
