Exploding for no reason?
You guys are funny.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Back on topic, a Senior Advisor to the Trump campaign is confident that as early as tomorrow, it will become clear that Trump won.
I don't know how much of this is genuine, and how much of it is just a cope. They may not want to demoralize the Trump base by appearing weak, so they just act like they're going to win, even if they're scrambling to find a way out of this.
I dunno. Ready for it to be over, I know that.

Agreed, our perspectives on the left is exactly the same. They also do not seem to understand the idea of feed a man a fish and you feed him for a day, but teach a man to fish you will feed him for a lifetime. They stop at feed a man a fish and you feed him for a day.DBTrek wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 1:09 pmI really think leftists exemplify the path to hell being paved with good intentions. It's not that the poor or downtrodden should be despised. They should, in fact, be uplifted when possible and appropriate. There's no virtue in shitting on the homeless or ostracizing gay people. But leftists ... bless their dumb little hearts ... think the answer is to FORCE other people through government coercion, to "be nice". They aren't content to let individuals help the needy that they know. They aren't content to let the able volunteer their time, services, and expertise toward helping others. Nope. They need the government to MAKE you do it ... "for the good of humanity", of course.
And it doesn't take long for that ethos to quickly transform into "Your privileged-ass won't take another tax hike to subsidize another drug-infested homeless city near the preschool? Well, I guess it's time we eat the rich!"
It goes from "help the needy", to "do what the fuck we say, believe what we believe, and support what we support or suffer the consequences" relatively fast, every damn time. It always starts with the doe-eyed bleeding heart dopes convincing themselves that they're doing good, and ends in enormous evil.
How many times, people? How many times we fucking learning this lesson before we get it?
I often see them make the argument that Jesus would be leftist because he was all about helping the downtrodden. What is often missed by these people is that Jesus was all about choice. He didn't try to force people to follow him or to help the downtrodden. He wanted people to use their free will to choose to follow him and choose to help the downtrodden. Christianity is all about the freedom to choose, but also understanding your choices have consequences.

The response to sensible requests to social distance and wear masks when you can't is what is idiotic and what will cause your next lockdown.
