I’m three hours NE from Columbus. Ohio has two different methods depending on the county. One method is like SF county, a giant touch pad with a receipt style print out. The other is like my county. They give you a big paper ballot, you fill in the ovals next to your candidates name. When you’re done you tear off the bottom part and put it in an envelope that is attached to a big copier/fax machine looking thing. You stick your ballot into that and it scans your votes.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 9:53 amI’m about 3 hours from Columbus, due NW. We have electronic voting, and it prints out a paper ballot to ‘confirm’.Xenophon wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 8:19 amReports on the ground in Columbus, Ohio say that the electronic voting system is "down." So all paper ballots.
SF, that's your neck of the woods, right?
Why is it that my redneck town has electronic voting that works and we have no problems, but our urbanite overlords can't figure out how to run an election?

if my wife was an old hag, maybe I wouldn't be going off like this
but she's not
she's like forty five going on twenty two
so I just stopped in my tracks and said, you know what ?
I'm going to enjoy this to the max, in real time, before we actually do get old, or in my case dead

That sounds positively medieval.SilverEagle wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 9:59 amI’m three hours NE from Columbus. Ohio has two different methods depending on the county. Monte thinks I was having a manic episode
but to me, it was the presence of God
like God came right up behind me, like a mountain standing right behind me
it made me feel young again, and I've been riding the wave ever since
it's hard to stay focused on politics, with a mountain standing behind you

Lol it is stupid. Not sure why Ohio went that direction. I believe we started that in 2006.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 10:00 amThat sounds positively medieval.SilverEagle wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 9:59 amI’m three hours NE from Columbus.
