You Confiscatory Inheritance tax scheme looks a lot like one of the measures on the CA ballot this year. I am voting for it.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 7:37 amI rely on that for my Confiscatory Inheritance tax scheme to work.Hanarchy Montanarchy wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 7:26 amExcept the top layer.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 7:17 am

Hash is better at explaining the benefits of a high inheritance tax.The Conservative wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 7:55 amWhy? There's a large group of people who liberty doesn't really benefit, and would do just as well under Communism or an aristocracy; for them, whichever triggers the most dopamine is their choice.

Remind me, who gives you the right to take away money from someone who worked their life to obtain it, and is willing to give it to family, or entities? A manditory power grab of money would reduce this to a devistating affect.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 8:33 amThere's a large group of people who liberty doesn't really benefit, and would do just as well under Communism or an aristocracy; for them, whichever triggers the most dopamine is their choice.

All rules issue from the barrel of a gun. Conservatism is not wanting to lose what you got, and progressivism is not being satisfied with what you got. Whoever gots the most guns dictates which side wins.

Re: 2020 General Election Predictions
That's what I'm hoping but it seems their "values" (as expressed by you in the previous post) have resulted in loads of guns on the other side too. That number's going to increase as Conservative "values" continue to prevail. Either the Conservatives strike now and kill a significant majority of the dissatisfied people, or the number will grow & grow until the numbers become overwhelming. The Conservative wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 8:40 amThen the conservatives win.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 8:39 amAll rules issue from the barrel of a gun. Or you could change your "values"...
