I recently read that something like 11% of people that voted for Trump in 2016 also said they would be disappointed if he won.
That is more an indication of just how bad Clinton was. I think Biden is just as bad, just in slightly different ways. If Biden wins, he be the POTUS in name only, which is why I think he has a better chance at beating Trump than Clinton did. People know Biden is not all there, which means someone or something will be pulling his strings. The hope (there's that word again) is in that mysterious thing behind the curtain. People may go with the unknown they hope matches their vision rather than the Trump that has been dragged around in the mud for 4 years EVERY SINGLE DAY by the MSM.

Perhaps. Or perhaps not.
You slip $100 into the pocket of a homeless guy sleeping in a doorway, he doesn't know where it came from when he wakes up - charity.
Someone else saw you doing it (so "someone knows") - but they don't know you or the homeless guy, nor say anything to either of you. Maybe they use it as an example of "charity" to someone else in conversation in the future, "I saw some random guy stuff a bill into a sleeping homeless guys pocket".
It's still charity from you - you didn't do it for personal recognition, and really didn't get any (tied to you in any meaningful way).

It's not charity if you do it for recognition and make sure others know (looking for kudo's).
"People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome."

No doubt. A vote for 'Biden, 2020' is not exactly a vote for Joe Biden. It is practically how they are branding him.

But, Supreme and lower Court nominations are still a big deal for center-right voters, and a lot of the borderline 'never Trump' type conservatives I respect still refuse to sign on to Joe Biden, so I suspect a LOT of the 2016 mechanics are still at play.

If anyone asks me I'm telling them not to vote for Biden, but to vote for his vice-president, because I have no faith in him surviving a single term as president.

If you vote for Biden you aren't voting for the man, you are voting for his handlers.

Which BTW have already shown they want to destroy this country.

I hate Trump - he’s a moron - but he not a commie. Biden in his day wasn’t a commie - but he’s surrounded by them now - a vote for Biden (even if just to be anit-Trump) is a vote for communism - that can’t be any more clear - unless he surprises us all and picks a traditional democrat as VP - but I don’t see that happening....

POTUS Biden (via his handlers) will criminalize free speech by an ever expanding definition of “hate speech”. We will have wealth taxes, and your kids will learn to spit on George W. and Jefferson.

The left is openly saying this to those paying attention...

100% guarantee Biden picks an establishment running mate. If not Hillary, it'll be some other high-ranking female.
