R U under the impressions that these “bad” mayors don’t represent their constituents? Their constituents are communists who want it “all to burn to the ground” as my friend said yesterday that his Portland Millennial son said to him. The mayor is an institution. The governor who supports the major (Inslee, who if you remember was a presidential candidate) is an institution. Dude, I’ve now listed about a dozen institutions that are threatening my liberty, as you asked me to do.
I agree with most of the problems you pointed out with, perhaps, some granular quibbles over what counts as an American institution, or at least an institution the Executive branch has any reasonable authority over.

What I am saying is those problems have different causes with different solutions. It isn't at all clear to me how a Trump presidency solves any of them. He is currently president, after all, and the problems persist.

I am assuming you think the presidential bully pulpit will have downstream local effects that you like, but I doubt it, and we could get into the specific political reasons why, if you like.

I have no stomach for a TDS explanation so thanks for asking first.

Remember, I have repeatedly said that what Trump has done is what I would do, and that Tucker speaks for me. Who speaks for you?

That is a tough question to answer. It is always case-specific.

So, go on explain your theory on why getting a liberty president does not help protect me from Jay Inslee’s constituents?

I recently read that something like 11% of people that voted for Trump in 2016 also said they would be disappointed if he won. Presumably they voted for him out of some combination of anti-Clinton sentiment, and desire to control court nominations. I believe this is at least partially responsible for the mid-term turn to Dems in the house and in local elections, as people who thought it was important to have GOP picks for courts did some moral accounting and voted the other way in what they viewed as less critical positions.

These are the people who, as you recommend, vote for Trump even though they think he is a loathsome and immoral person, and there is good reason to believe there are more of them now than there were then, especially in light of our economic situation (which I am not blaming on Trump, just pointing out that it has a fairly well understood effect on voting patterns).

I think this happens a lot, accounts for our frequent mid-term swings, and is the inevitable result of 'least-worst-option' voting.

This is difficult to prove, but is why I don't think you have bad judgment - I just think you are making a gamble I wouldn't.

That is the theory - I don't think it is original, but I don't know from whom I hacked it.

I don’t gamble. Maybe you’ve noticed my long list of accomplishments? I also don’t play games.

Do you have an argument for how a Trump vote gets rid of Inslee? Because I think Gavin Newsom is a total dickhead - so if there is good reason to think you are right, I might come around.

Trump gives people who despair and so withdraw, hope. Just like BLM energizes the communists.
