with people with the mindset of Partyof5 in the country,
What mind set is that? Show me where I said shut everything down you lying piece of shit.
Throughout this entire thing, you are saying "open up smartly", my RHINO governor says the same thing... and he says that if he feels the numbers increase too fast, he is going to shut us down again. Fuck that wordplay.

You know what, just put a blanket order over and say "open up and let those who want to take extra precaution do so, those who don't, live."

This virus isn't world ending, and those who are the worst potential risk need to take precautions themselves instead of having the state or country do it for them by forcing everyone to stay at home and have 23% of the workforce let go because an extremely small portion of the population got sick and died... nearly the same amount who died from the flu last season too btw.
Open up smartly is not even close to the same as shut everything down. You know that, but you still try and get the rest of us to buy into your lie of everything that isn't "it's just the flu bro" is "OMGZ, they want to shut everything down".

I win. You couldn't show any evidence of my saying shut everything down. Game over.

"Open Up Smartly" is the same words the DNC and the states that are still closed state...they also use "When it's safe"... don't tell me game over, you are playing straight into their hands. This is either open up the country and fuck it, or keep it closed and "open smartly".

Sorry, but we didn't close for any other pandemic, and we shouldn't have closed for this one either.

I'm not playing into anybody's hands. I'm forming my own opinions and making my own judgments.

I already stated what I want to see as conditions of opening businesses back up. Go back a few pages and find it. I'm done repeating myself.

So am I, and I read your requirements... there should be no requirements. That's the point there never was before and there shouldn't be now.

Well then they are the outliers, for every country has said so far that the majority of those that have died are either elderly and/or have underlying issues. It is extremely rare to find someone who died from it without having an issue... In most cases people had issues but were undiagnosed.

Almost all the cases in Mass, over 70% now are elderly, the rest are because of underlying issues. About .001% is with people who have had "no issues" beforehand.

but honestly, we as a country should be allowed to just go on with our everyday lives, and let those who want to wear masks, do so.. and those who don't go for it. This entire nationwide lockdown is and always has been nothing more than a test to show how long people are willing to allow their freedom to be removed... and honestly, with people with the mindset of Partyof5 in the country, and monty, I think we failed.
"most cases"
You can't predict everything, attempting to do so will shut everything down... oh wait. Well, surprise surprise...
I have never advocated shut down. No one knows how this will play out. This is something new.
Why do something that you know is going to do damage? It's like the Carthaginians feeding their children to Moloch when the Romans showed up.

Again, as long as we take the standard precautions that we did with the flu, this really would be and really is a non-issue.

It has already been proven that wearing masks all the time isn't good for you, that wearing them when not needed is not good for you, that self-quarantine did shit... and if anything it has prolonged the inevitable.

The US as a country should not have feared this, there was no reason to, and now we have this as we do today, and look at the places that are closed. The only ones that should be closed off, or have some form of quarantine are parts of NY...

1 out of 100k people in Mass has a 1.17% of getting it and 0.08% of dying from it.
I think I'll take my chances on that...

I'll even go further than, in Mass there 6.893 million people. If we take the 1.17% chance of getting it and 0.08 will die from it (out of every 100K), that means Mass will see 80,016 infected and 5,471 deaths.

Where are we now:

Confirmed Cases as of today: 80,497
Confirmed Deaths as of today: 5,315

It seems my math is pretty sold.

Here is a caveat...CDC numbers (posted yesterday):

Total Cases (unchanged): 80,497
Total Deaths (changed by:1,589):3,726

So that means, if we take the CDC numbers, the potential of dying not only decreases, but that also means that either the number of infections is wrong by a large percentage, or this entire conversation is just straight-up fearmongering and we truly had nothing to worry about in the first place.

Everyone will get it eventually.
