It appears there has been a mass inflation of COVID-19 death data. NYC isn't distinguishing who dies
with COVID-19 and who dies
fromCOVID-19. Italy is doing the same thing.
Having worked for the government in some capacity my whole life, I can say that it isn't crazy to think that healthcare organizations aren't inflating their numbers to qualify for the maximum amount of government aid they can get. Education does it all the time.
The data people quote for the Spanish Flu is the same
People quote the "excess mortality" of the Spanish Flu
The Spanish Flu did not kill "50 million" people directly, most of those deaths were secondary knock on effects

I feel like this is another level of dishonesty. I'm fine with attributing a COVID-19 death to someone whose heart was made weaker by the virus, but if someone tests positive for COVID and dies of cancer, I don't think that should be a COVID-19 casualty.

Crazy chinese lady touches a bunch of stuff at a store. Not sure that it's related to COVID-19, but that's what the woo woo crowd is saying.

It's standard operating procedure for biological warfare
There is 'case mortality' and secondary effect 'excess mortality'
But dead is dead, you can be killed in a war by the chaos of it alone
Hence why shelter in place

Not really, the CIA is not as diabolical as its reputation, it has been largely de-fanged tbh
JSOC has pretty much taken the CIA's jobs from them
The Pentagon is the doing what the CIA used to do, the CIA doesn't have much to do as a result
It was a joke Smitty, and I am not up with the jargon. I work with cheese, not covert operations. I just wanted to put the wind up Monty.
However- GM carrots. Monty. G fucking M carrots
Whatever, I'm just riffing

Never an issue. I read a lot more than I post. See more than I say, so I get your riff (and others here too). It’s what keeps me coming back- the beat goes on

Like you don't want to go to a hospital right now, for any reason
The system is broken, under siege, it's chaos
So you don't need to have the bug to become excess mortality in the WMD mass casualty event
Now is not a good time to have a car accident, or even an accident around the house
Stay frosty

It's like I am comfortable to operate in the deep woods alone
But I am not just bumbling around out there, I am patrolling out there with military precision
If I break my ankle out there alone, that could be a death sentence, excess mortality

It's like one time Mrs Smitty broke her ankle while walking the dogs way out in the woods
She didn't have her phone with her, it was cold & raining, she was lying there on the ground calling for help
When she didn't report in, I called her phone, when it rang in her office, that was warning order
I patrolled out into the woods until I found her, when I did she was borderline hypothermic
There is no back up in this situation, enjoy the Staycation to avoid the chaos

I just went operational, relaxed in the saddle, execute the immediate action
It scared the shit out of her, until big strong man came to the rescue
