Yeah, that was one of Dan's biggest faults, too agreeable in the face of disagreement. When me and you are on the opposite side of a disagreement, it emboldens me because it usually means I am debating a strong position that I disagree with and can refine my approach, I always tried to see it as an opportunity for iron to sharpen iron, and took my defeats in stride, instead of holding a grudge.

I'm not so sure that a Caesar appearing would be so bad. It would free the prole from the burden of having to be concerned with policy. Makes sense. But I'm still not following on why a modern Caesar would be any worse than what we have now. I mean, we have kids who patrol the same stretch of desert as their fathers. That's not exactly keeping us away from foreign wars.
