If that carries through.. 60% of the world's population is 4.48 billion people. If 15% of those die, you are looking at over 700 million fatalities.

Unless we can discover a treatment and mass produce that, or somehow stop this from going pandemic.

If they are to be believed, and 60% of the world is going to be infected, and the PRC is to believed that 18-20% needed critical care, and because they couldn't provide it to so many, they have a case fatality rate of just over 15%.. the only conclusion you can reach is that we face the potential loss of 700 million people over the next year or two to this disease.

That's not zerohedge apoplectic ranting. That's the numbers our government is implying without explicitly stating. The CDC at least believes we could lose that many people.

That would come down to about 197 million Americans infected, with 28 million Americans succumbing due to lack of ICU beds. The Spanish Flu was maybe half a million Americans dead.

BTW, using number of test kits as a measure of how serious this is has got to be near the top of ignorant things to say. Countries are quarantining millions of people. Countries are shutting down schools for a month. Travel bans are in place across parts of the world. Death rate is at least 3% for COVID-19 vs. .2% for the flu.
