I've done a number of historical reconstruction projects on smaller structures. The historians I deal with are rabid about putting back the way it was.

It's aesthetically pleasing to look at. It's an abomination of that structure and it defiles the memory and history of the grandeur of Notre Dame.

Your welcome to build that thing wherever you want, except on Notre Dame.

Fuddy-duddies objected to the glass pyramid at the Louvre in Paris when it first went up too.
Now it is a much loved building and an international icon.

Actually that abomination crossed my mind as well.

Modernist Art sucks. Not sure you can even call it Art.
Brutalist architecture has more appeal to me than shit like that.
