No. I mean Joe Crowley. The old liberal white guy who now works for the third largest lobbying firm that represents Fortune 100 corporations, including oil and chemical companies. Definitely not an old socialist.

Socialism had little to do with it. She could have run as anything. The district is majority Hispanic and she is from PR. Just because dumbass white people are retarded civic nationalists doesn't mean that's how everybody else works. Black people tend to vote for black politicians. Hispanics vote for Hispanic politicians. Delusional civic nationalists white people vote for the minority so that they can signal how cosmopolitan they are. This isn't rocket science and it's not even ideological.

If anything, her socialism hurts her quite a lot. She supports those things because she is a believer. Which is more than I can say about Joe Crowley other than him believing in using power to get paid.
