It solves the moral problems too. Shady, fake medical practices like abortion would have to be funded privately. A lot of the bloat in Obamacare was the elective procedures as well. If people want elective procedures, then they can buy supplementary.
Back in the Obama days, I became pretty damned well certain the reason he wouldn't even entertain a public option was that they planned to force Americans to pay for abortions through mandates on private companies to include it when it would be illegal to directly take tax dollars to fund it in a single payer system.
Also, if you think liberals can't fund their abortions, look at how much they donate to animal charities. They have the money. They just want everybody to be culpable. This Obamacare debacle is a direct result of their evil intent. They could have been on single payer right now.

Perhaps if people stopped demonising single mothers and provided affordable day care there wouldn't be so much demand for abortions.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Single mothers are a huge problem too. We need to stop throwing money at these women. End child support and alimony slavery. End cash welfare. It is better to spend a little more and directly support the kids than to incentivize single motherhood.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 7:50 amPerhaps if people stopped demonising single mothers and provided affordable day care there wouldn't be so much demand for abortions.

plenty of single mothers in california leeching off the public welfare fund, i saw them firsthand working a gas station for several years. creates a dependency problem, people rely on the government to live. no way to build a stable society.
not that i'm unsympathetic. the truth is that i would be more willing to support additional relief to these people if their representatives didn't insist that society demonizes them

the real problem is the generational dependency, kids would regularly use their parent's EBT cards to get snacks and sodas. fuck getting twice as much food from a grocery store, come down to the gas station and spend twice as much money for half as much food. no skin in the game. no way to raise a strong and independent generation of children. sad

I've worked in school systems... the generations coming up don't view socialism so negatively. Hence why AOC and of the like are in office now.StCapps wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2020 2:32 pmNope, you overestimate the appeal of socialism, even to the stupid. AOC is in office because she won a primary, very few people actually voted for her, it was just a deep blue district, that does not play on the presidential stage. When those kids get older, they sour on socialism. The Conservative wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 10:59 amI've worked in school systems... the generations coming up don't view socialism so negatively.
