I love Indians. They are great. I'm certainly not scared of them the way Canada is.

But if any of them stepped to me I would defeat them using diplomacy. I'd give them some Kentucky Bourbon and wait. When they are all plastered drunk, I'd come in to their town and set up a liquor store. Pretty soon, the whole town is drunk and all of their social cohesion destroyed. Then I'd simply frog march their children to Indian Schools and let the old people on the reservation sit around drinking. Game. Over.

In America, we are not scared of Indians. They have been humbled by Manifest Destiny and the Man on the 20 dollar bill+superior Americana ethics and culture. We killed them with kindness first and then they came to see things our way voluntarily. Looking back I think we spoiled those Indians. We gave them too much, and the lack of hardship in their lives is why they didn't develop any character and turned to the bottle as soon as things got a tiny bit rough for them.

I don't understand why they don't just give them a bucket full of beads for all the land they still own.
If that doesn't work then give them some blankets infected with Coronavirus.

Good point.

Coronavirus might be especially lethal to Indians. They might confuse it with the beer and try to drink it.

Its not fair to Smitty and Trudeau that they have these Indian problems when the solution to them can be purchased at bed bath and beyond.

Insider Trading asks: is Tyson Barrie on the market?

Update: Frank Seravalli has some more details on this.

Seravalli today had expanded on Bob McKenzie’s story with details on three of the other teams that have been calling. He has nothing more to say about Vancouver, but about the other three teams he says this:

Calgary Flames: He believes the Leafs and Flames discussed a one-for-one swap of Tyson Barrie and T.J. Brodie. He also says this might be tabled now.

Brodie is a left-shooting 29-year-old defender who has a $4.65 million cap hit and an eight-team no-trade list. His contract expires this summer, meaning tagging space is not a concern.

Vegas Golden Knights: The Golden Knights moved out Cody Eakin earlier today, freeing up some cap space. They are, according to Seravalli, only interested in a sign-and-trade deal like they did with Mark Stone last year. There was no discussion there on what would come back.

Carolina Hurricanes: The Hurricanes want a rental to replace the injured Dougie Hamilton. They don’t want term, making them the best possible trading partner for a UFA defenceman on a salary-retained deal. Nothing was said about the return there either.

Lazy third periods are the Av's achilles heel. The early turtle with a one goal lead really pisses me off.

Francouz bails them out with his first career shutout thankfully, woop woop. Speaking of Francouz, he just signed a two year extension at $2 million AAV, Gentlemen Joe strikes again.
