All judges are both biased and partisan, pretending otherwise is bullshit. You may want to live in a world where SCOTUS judges aren't partisan, but there is no such world, and if you think this is just an American problem, you're a fucking idiot. Look down your nose at America and pretend you are holier than thou all you want Denmark, you ain't fucking shit, you're just full of yourselves.BjornP wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 7:51 amBiased or partisan? No reason to give a shit if they're just biased. Everyone is, and that's no problem. The problem of them being political appointees is maybe going to let newly appointed judges partisan, but why should older appointees, appointed by two-or-more terms past presidents give a crap about supporting one party or the other?StCapps wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 7:35 amSCOTUS judges are partisan as fuck, pretending it can be any other way is naive and ridiculous, as is the assertion that if it isn't possible there is no reason for a country to exist. By your standard, no country should exist anywhere in the world, grow up noob.
And you are ridiculously Americano-centric. You have extremely low expectations of everything because you think the US is the highest any country can aspire to in every aspect and regard, and that American values, American culture, American history are somehow universal. You're the one who needs to grow up and see the real world. Are things "perfect" in other countries? Nope. But pretending that politics is as shitty everywhere as in the US (especially when they keep saying so themselves)? Dude, that's not you being a "realist" if that's what you like to think of yourself as. You're like a slowly boiling frog who keeps going: "Yeah, this is normal". Only because you judge everything by American standards...but I guess the only thing that makes you Canadian is that you watch hockey.

It was always a farce, dumb dumb. Stop trying to pretend that both Democrats and Republicans haven't made it so, Republicans did it with Clinton, Democrats with Trump. The Conservative wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 8:03 amImpeachment is a serious thing. Re: Trump Impeachment (Public Hearing)
The first point is true, but while the Clinton impeachment was a little more bi-partisan than this time around, it was still partisan as fuck. Impeachment is inherently partisan, pretending otherwise is to perpetuate a myth via wishful thinking. The Conservative wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 8:28 amUntil Trump, each president had an illegal act they did. Re: Trump Impeachment (Public Hearing)
Doesn't matter, both impeachments were inherently partisan, trying to pretend the Republicans weren't partisan about impeaching Clinton is revisionist history. Some Democrats voting to impeach Clinton doesn't make it not partisan. The Conservative wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 8:38 amHow many Democrats voted to impeach Clinton?StCapps wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 8:31 amThe first point is true, but while the Clinton impeachment was a little more bi-partisan than this time around, it was still partisan as fuck. Re: Trump Impeachment (Public Hearing)
I'm sure you're an absolute expert on US SCOTUS judges and their ability to judge cases beyond desired by the GOP/DNC party lines... but you know nothing about what judges are like in any other country (probably including your own).StCapps wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 8:06 amAll judges are both biased and partisan, pretending otherwise is bullshit. And I'm "full of myself" because I live in the best country that has ever existed or will exist in the world, and am part of the best culture that ever graced Western civilization. God loves Danes above all people even if we don't go to church except Christmas and Easter. We currently got corruption in the defense department, bribery and patent abuses in the SSI (who handle all medicine coming into and out of the country), a multi-billion kroner tax evasion case caused mostly by negligence after multiple reforms of the tax office, and a case of a social worker stealing millions of kroner from a municipal project for the homeless and unemployed over the span of 18 years (no one apparantly thought it strange that she suddenly owned horse-breeding farms in South Africa)....
..but we're still the best country in the world. And yeah, better morality, too, now that you mention it. Also the most modest people in the world. And anyone else who disagrees? Fuck 'em because they're not Danish and thus their opinion don't matter. If you want to act like a submissive, whipped dog and belittle your own country and culture, thinking that makes Americans respect you more, good luck with that Capps. Might even work, but don't expect that to be normal behavior for anyone outside your own little skull. Americans make the best Americans, Capps. Just become an American citizen if you hate your country and culture so much.
Fame is not flattery. Respect is not agreement.

Re: Trump Impeachment (Public Hearing)
anyway, every human being is biased so pretending that the impeachment trial should be unbiased is utopia fantasyland. congressional democrats especially, demanding a fair trial in the senate, as if this process hasn't been an unfair ruse from the jump
