City-states are awesome Martin. The only way to balance power is to distribute it, and city states do that beautifully. The UN, on the other hand, is a looming tyranny that would collect all power to itself if given an opportunity.

The UN is an American institution, just like all the rest.

World Bank, IMF, WTO, NATO, etc, it's all America.

If Americans do not defend and uphold them, nobody else would.

Explain the Civil Rights act ... which is not in the Constitution, but applies to all 50 states.

I’m trying to predict the non-violent culmination of this split in American values: Republicans win big? Seems unlikely to get CA, Seattle, Portland. What then? That’s why I think city-States is a natural conclusion.
