No POTUS candidate who won 30 or more states has ever lost the EC for a reason. The EC favors candidates who can win more states than other candidates whose vote in concentrated in urban centers but doesn't translate to winning the popular vote of many states, Trump is no exception. If you think a candidate who wins 20 of 50 states or less should win a POTUS election just because they win the popular vote, you're a dumbass.brewster wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2019 10:43 amNow it's you who doesn't seem to know what the EC is. It does not translate into popular support, but rather can give victories to minorities in popular voting, as in 2000 and 2016.StCapps wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2019 10:23 amWinning 30 states out of 50 states does show majority support though, As does a majority in the Senate. The Democrats control the gerrymandered house, and you just pointed out how that does not equal actual majority support. If anyone has a majority of support, it's the GOP. Fuck yo national popular support bullshit.

Re: Civil War Coming?
And...so what? Number of states means nothing in actual support, it takes the entire smaller HALF of the states to equal just NY and CA in population. Number of states just looks cool on your mostly red map, and means something in the EC because of the oddities in the Constitution resulting from the opening battle of the Urban vs Rural. We're not talking about elections here in this thread, but war, who supports what positions. Do not mistake winning the EC for having a vast majority of support.StCapps wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2019 10:46 amNo POTUS candidate who won 30 or more states has ever lost the EC for a reason. We are only accustomed to dealing with like twenty online personas at a time so when we only have about ten people some people have to be strawmanned in order to advance our same relative go nowhere nonsense positions. -TheReal_ND

Do not mistake winning the popular vote for having a vast majority of support. Number of people is irrelevant, most of the territory of the country would prefer a different government than those in the urban cantonments, that's why the EC exists, that's a good thing. If the Democrats want to win elections, try not getting your ass handed to you so much in rural districts just to pander to urban centers, problem solved. Democrats used to do well in rural districts, maybe they should try that again, nothing is stopping them but themselves.brewster wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2019 10:59 amAnd...so what? You only say that because you are triggered by people who don't coddle you and tell you that "oooh, but your opinion matters *just as much as anyone else's".

Re: Civil War Coming?
Everything is Interpretation = Liberty?
Facts are facts = Godless Communism?
What a clown show.
Hey by all means, fight a civil war but since both the radical left and right have embraced postmodern relativistic bullshit whomever wins just end up fighting your former allies. When everything is interpretation, it's easier to interpret former allies as future enemies. After all, you just need to imagine their betrayal...
Happy civil war, then.
