Sometimes its not even meant as an attack per se, for example when I call Grumpy a stupid asshole, that's just my honest opinion of him, I think he's stupid, and an asshole, but it's not meant to harm him, it's just my view of him.
Hell I wasn't even close to half the poster I was when I was when walked into the DCF nearly a decade ago, getting my ass kicked in arguments and ball busting on the regular got turned me into the machine you see today. You don't see gains like that by avoid good arguments and crying foul when people hand my ass to me in ball busting exchange, I simply give them dap and steal their best shit.
The DCF was the first and only social media I ever participated in. I had no idea what the internet was all about, I remember saying to Carlin early on: "WTF?!"

He was the one who schooled me, told me that's just how it is, you have to fight your own battles and deal with it rhetorically somehow.
You figure shit out quick when you get thrown in the deep end, and don't demand a safe space, Dan Carlin Knows.

Some people are just slow learners, clinging to the desire to nerf the internet and avoiding all critique.

Like I was way too aggressive on the DCF early on, but I was literally just processing out of the army, so I was way more aggressive in general back then.

Also, at first we were Dan's Praetorian Guard, like we attacked anybody who came on to attack Dan, I was his attack dog.

I learned a shit ton from DB, dude is the best troll I've ever encountered who isn't Donald Trump, and his arguments are usually on fucking point too,. I steal a lot of shit from all my favorite posters, the more I steal from you, the higher regard I likely hold you in.

I take what works and incorporate it into my game, I'm like an internet forum Bruce Lee or Jesse Pinkman, bitch.

He can't rhyme for shit though...
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

At first I couldn't land a glove on him, but now my counter punching game is fierce, in no small part to getting thrown in the deep end with that animal.

You gots to slip it in subtly, he'll sniff out a trap, so you have to play it straight.

Rope-A-Dope. He's a sucker for what he perceives to be weakness, and can get caught being over aggressive in pursuit of a finish, the George Foreman of the DCF/MHF. He sure does pack a helluva wallop when he lands a shot.
