The big lie is that the Brexit vote wasn't about leaving the EU. We are being told it was about getting a super duper deal and leaving or remaining with the already renegotiated conditions.
Well that was what the two sides campaigned on.
To now suggest that people were voting for a no-deal Brexit is as big a lie as the whopper on the side of a bus.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

The fact they lied is irrelevant, what their lie says about them, that could be good ammo, use that instead. Don't get sidetracked by the fact that a politician lied, that's what they want you to do, so they maintain the initiative and stay on offense, and you remain on defense playing calling them a liar whack-a-mole.

You sound like a southerner claiming that the ACW wasn't about slavery.

Calling a politician a liar, is about as effective, as calling a politician, a politician.
Whoop Dee Doo Basil.
Right.

So that old "Pocahontas" thing, when Warren pretended to be NA to get a spot in whatever college it was, hasn't hurt her candidacy and credibility?

Dismissing the whole impeachment proceedings against Trump as a fabrication, a lie based in nothing more than political hysteria or whatever... hasn't been effective when used against the Democrats?
It's not the lying that hurts her, it's what the lie says about her that hurts her. Liar is ineffective, Pocahontas is. That's why Trump focuses on the nickname and not just calling her a liar.
From a Trump tweet about Warren (dunno how to copy the twitter link), October 16, 2018:
Now that her claims of being of Indian heritage have turned out to be a scam and a lie, Elizabeth Warren should apologize for perpetrating this fraud against the American Public. Harvard called her “a person of color” (amazing con), and would not have taken her otherwise!
Trump has had no qualms about calling Warren or anyone else out as a liar, not finding a need for nicknames. Some will get nicknames, but he's not doing that based on some strategy of not saying the word "liar".

In any case, whether they say the word "liar" or just indicate that they are, the end result is the same. Potential loss of (public) credibility. Whether it comes from a president, or a critical mass of common citizens.

Calling his opponents a liar is the least effect material in that tweet. The most effective material is pointing out she's a Fake Indian who used that Indian status to get into Harvard, the lie part isn't effective, it's what the lie says about her that is effective.

The fact they lied is irrelevant,
Let's let that sink in.

Capps thinks it is irrelevant when politicians lie in order to deliberately mislead the public.
The perfect shill for corrupt governments.
He's been reamed out so much that a lubricant isn't even necessary.

Dude you need to learn to read. I am talking irrelevant in terms of whether it's an effective attack on a politician or not. Stop taking me out of context with your stupid strawmen.

Sure, though I think that way of thinking is most noticeable in the way he talks about and references his favourite TV shows. Hey Capps....The Wire sucks... ;) )
You can't even say it with a straight face, that's how good it is.
Seriously, the last season central story (and the "Hamsterdam" season's) sucked. It was a good show, but it's not the "best" TV on some universal scale of "good TV".

Season three is one the better seasons of television in the history of the medium, easily top 10. Season five is still really damn good, better than most seasons of other really good shows.

I don't think it's the best show, I rank it number 2, but it's definitely top three, with Breaking Bad and The Sopranos. The Wire just so happens to be the most quotable show of all-time that isn't The Simpsons.
