Well that was what the two sides campaigned on.
To now suggest that people were voting for a no-deal Brexit is as big a lie as the whopper on the side of a bus.

You sound like a southerner claiming that the ACW wasn't about slavery.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 1:07 pmWell that was what the two sides campaigned on.

From a Trump tweet about Warren (dunno how to copy the twitter link), October 16, 2018:StCapps wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 12:51 pmIt's not the lying that hurts her, it's what the lie says about her that hurts her. So that old "Pocahontas" thing, when Warren pretended to be NA to get a spot in whatever college it was, hasn't hurt her candidacy and credibility?
Dismissing the whole impeachment proceedings against Trump as a fabrication, a lie based in nothing more than political hysteria or whatever... hasn't been effective when used against the Democrats?
Trump has had no qualms about calling Warren or anyone else out as a liar, not finding a need for nicknames. Some will get nicknames, but he's not doing that based on some strategy of not saying the word "liar".Now that her claims of being of Indian heritage have turned out to be a scam and a lie, Elizabeth Warren should apologize for perpetrating this fraud against the American Public. Harvard called her “a person of color” (amazing con), and would not have taken her otherwise!

Calling his opponents a liar is the least effect material in that tweet. The most effective material is pointing out she's a Fake Indian who used that Indian status to get into Harvard, the lie part isn't effective, it's what the lie says about her that is effective.BjornP wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 1:13 pmFrom a Trump tweet about Warren (dunno how to copy the twitter link), October 16, 2018:StCapps wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 12:51 pmIt's not the lying that hurts her, it's what the lie says about her that hurts her. In any case, whether they say the word "liar" or just indicate that they are, the end result is the same. Potential loss of (public) credibility. Whether it comes from a president, or a critical mass of common citizens.
Let's let that sink in.
Dude you need to learn to read. I am talking irrelevant in terms of whether it's an effective attack on a politician or not. Stop taking me out of context with your stupid strawmen.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 1:17 pmLet's let that sink in.
Capps thinks it is irrelevant when politicians lie in order to deliberately mislead the public.
The perfect shill for corrupt governments.
He's been reamed out so much that a lubricant isn't even necessary.
Seriously, the last season central story (and the "Hamsterdam" season's) sucked. It was a good show, but it's not the "best" TV on some universal scale of "good TV".
Season three is one the better seasons of television in the history of the medium, easily top 10. Season five is still really damn good, better than most seasons of other really good shows.BjornP wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 1:20 pmSeriously, the last season central story (and the "Hamsterdam" season's) sucked.
