No they did not. He was not in the national spot light until 2004 when he ran for that Senate seat. He was a traditional Chicago machine democrat slated to hold that Senate seat in perpetuity. 2008 was his own independent operation. Tulsi would be running against that machine. And Honolulu is a Democrat machine. She would be running against that machine. It is 2020 or bust.StCapps wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 12:28 pmIt's easier to win a Senate seat in Hawaii than win the 2020 Democrat nomination, by many orders of magnitude, that's why so many Senators are running for the nomination in the first place. Obama was a short lived Senator before running for POTUS, worked for him, everyone knew what he was doing to, didn't stop him.

Yeah sure, if you could blame the GOP you would blame the GOP. Undercover hack bitch gonna undercover hack bitch.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 10:24 amNot saying you’re wrong, but you could do that lazy comparison with pretty much any US Main Street over the last 40 years. The Conservative wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 10:20 amThey have been going down hill for decades, they went from being the party of Kennedy to now where they are nearly the party of Castro... When the Democrats go off the far left deep end, it sometimes takes them a while to come around, but they always do in the end. They lost more elections in a row post Civil War than they will this time around, don't fool yourself into thinking they are the Whigs. They haven't come around in 2020, and they might not come around by 2024, but if they don't come around by 2028 or 2032, I'd be shocked.
They went from the party that supposedly for the minority to taking them for granted and expecting them to vote for the DNC no matter how much was promised and not delivered upon. They blame the RNC for their actions, where it has been proven that places like Chicago Illinois has been controlled by Democrats for over 40 years looks like a third world country while Okinawa, Japan a country we blew up with a nuke looks like a paradise.

We have seen a party try to remove a president through a coup and say that the president did wrong...
I am sorry, but I don't give much hope of the DNC turning themselves around. They have shot themselves in the foot too many times and blaming the RNC while the DNC is holding not only holding the smoking gun, but pulling the trigger again to let off another round of lies into their foot.
It’s more complex than party politics.

The Democrat Machine ain't shit. And the Hawaii Democrat Machine ain't shit either. The theory that it's harder to become a Democrat Senator than POTUS is blatantly laughable.clubgop wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 7:02 pmNo they did not. Timing is everything. All the impetus is now, not 4 years from now, now. A Republican has not held a Senate seat since 1977 and an incumbent US Senator has not been defeated in a primary in Hawaii since never. The Hawaii machine is real. Tulsi gabbard is veing primaried in her congressional seat, he is a vet, the machine is backing him. She can't and won't run for reelection in her own congressional seat Her career in politics is backed into a corner, it is now or never.StCapps wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 8:39 pmThe Democrat Machine ain't shit. No, it's not. The impetus is not now at all, the entire time she is running to set herself up for down the road, she never had a chance in 2020 and she knew it. This POTUS run is to run for higher office, there is literally no other reason to do it. Hawaii doesn't have any Senators of merit, they are not as entrenched as you think they are. At this point Tulsi has higher name recognition than either of their sitting Senators.clubgop wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 9:45 pmTiming is everything. All the impetus is now, not 4 years from now, now.
