Attributable to Navy Capt. Brook DeWalt, Director, Defense Press Operations:

U.S. troops in the vicinity of Kobani came under artillery fire from Turkish positions at approximately 9 p.m. local Oct. 11.

The explosion occurred within a few hundred meters of a location outside the Security Mechanism zone and in an area known by the Turks to have U.S. forces present.

All U.S. troops are accounted for with no injuries.

U.S. Forces have not withdrawn from Kobani.

The United States remains opposed to the Turkish military move into Syria and especially objects to Turkish operations outside the Security Mechanism zone and in areas where the Turks know U.S. forces are present.

The U.S. demands that Turkey avoid actions that could result in immediate defensive action.

It's only going to take one dead US serviceman and you're going to be up to your necks in it.
Hence why they shouldn't have ground troops in Syria in the first place.

When you claim to be against America being the policemen of the world, don't go attacking a President for not policing the Turks-Kurds situation, or you'll out yourself as a hypocritical partisan hack moron. Don't be like AOC, pro tip.
When have I ever claimed to be against America being the world's policeman? Who would you prefer to have that task? China, Russia, Turkey?

When Obama pulled out of Iraq you claimed he created ISIS but here you are now praising Trump for pulling the same move in Syria.
Trump's new bestie in Turkey is threatening to allow millions of Syrian refugees into Europe and ISIS prisoners are going free. All so that Trump can build another fucking hotel.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

He did create help ISIS, that doesn't mean America should have stayed though. Nor should they have gone in the first place and then there would have been no ISIS, and that's on Bush.

All The King's Horses and All King's Men, Couldn't Put Humpty Dumpty Iraq Back Together Again. Futility trying to put Iraq back together again would just have delayed the inevitable.

The people praising Obama for pulling out of Iraq, and bashing Trump for moving a small number of troops around in Syria are the hypocrites here. I remain consistent, Never Get Off The Boat, ain't no need for boots on the ground in the Middle East.

My advice to westerners crying over the Kurds: buy a plane ticket to the region and join one of the Kurdish militias and fight for the Kurds yourselves.

I find it legitimately disgusting when do-nothing civies demand somebody else go fight and potentially die for a bunch of foreigners they know jackshit about in the first place. Demanding somebody else go sacrifice for your Internet virtue signalling will possibly be seen by future historians as one of the most fucked up, decadent things about this degenerate age. Every God damned time we get these shit wars, it's because the MSM fires up the NPCs to ZOMG DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE POOR <X>!!!

The Kurds have no particular loyalty to the constitution of the Republic of the United States of America.

Sometimes their interests align with America's, sometimes they don't.

Kurds vs Daesh is aligned, Kurds and their permanent war with the Turks is not.

Daesh is regrouping in the rural areas anyways, most of the "ISIS" the Kurds are holding are women and children.

The Kurds are trying to sell themselves as indispensable, but really they're not.

Realpolitik, start a poll, biiiitch.

Not our problem.
Won't someone please think of the Kurds?
This is one time StA and I agree... except for different reasons I think.

The US needs to stop being the world police, that is what the UN is for. If the UN can't do the job, well fuck it... They wanted protection of a strong military without paying for it, and it's time the US gets out of there. We have our own shit to deal with, and we don't need troops dying in some armpit of the world just to make people who would rather see us dead in the first place...

She'd be more proud of you, selling out your country for the enemy's favor.
