U.S. troops in the vicinity of Kobani came under artillery fire from Turkish positions at approximately 9 p.m. local Oct. 11.
The explosion occurred within a few hundred meters of a location outside the Security Mechanism zone and in an area known by the Turks to have U.S. forces present.
All U.S. troops are accounted for with no injuries.
U.S. Forces have not withdrawn from Kobani.
The United States remains opposed to the Turkish military move into Syria and especially objects to Turkish operations outside the Security Mechanism zone and in areas where the Turks know U.S. forces are present.
The U.S. demands that Turkey avoid actions that could result in immediate defensive action.
It's only going to take one dead US serviceman and you're going to be up to your necks in it.
Hence why they shouldn't have ground troops in Syria in the first place.

He did create help ISIS, that doesn't mean America should have stayed though. Nor should they have gone in the first place and then there would have been no ISIS, and that's on Bush.

My advice to westerners crying over the Kurds: buy a plane ticket to the region and join one of the Kurdish militias and fight for the Kurds yourselves.

This is one time StA and I agree... except for different reasons I think.
The US needs to stop being the world police, that is what the UN is for. If the UN can't do the job, well fuck it... They wanted protection of a strong military without paying for it, and it's time the US gets out of there. We have our own shit to deal with, and we don't need troops dying in some armpit of the world just to make people who would rather see us dead in the first place...
