ISIS are already escaping from prison camps.
Detained members of Islamic State have managed to escape from a Kurdish-run prison in northeastern Syria today after Turkish shelling hit the area following the removal of US forces.

It comes as one hundred thousand terrified civilians fled the Turkish incursion into Syria as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's troops continue to advance - with Ankara claiming it has killed 342 Kurdish fighters.

'Five terrorists escaped from Navkur after shelling struck near the prison,' said an official from the Syrian Democratic Forces, the de facto army of the autonomous Kurdish region.

Video has emerged allegedly showing a number of prisoners escaping the compound, after Turkish mortar fire against Syrian Democratic Forces trying to move the occupants.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Five terrorists escaped? Well America should have not moved those troops then, such blowback.

Sucks - I hate that they’re getting fucked over - but at the same time, we need to leave to prevent putting ourselves in a similar situation in the future. Someone was going to get hurt no matter what.

That’s what happens when we get entangled in foreign wars.

Attributable to Navy Capt. Brook DeWalt, Director, Defense Press Operations:

U.S. troops in the vicinity of Kobani came under artillery fire from Turkish positions at approximately 9 p.m. local Oct. 11.

The explosion occurred within a few hundred meters of a location outside the Security Mechanism zone and in an area known by the Turks to have U.S. forces present.

All U.S. troops are accounted for with no injuries.

U.S. Forces have not withdrawn from Kobani.

The United States remains opposed to the Turkish military move into Syria and especially objects to Turkish operations outside the Security Mechanism zone and in areas where the Turks know U.S. forces are present.

The U.S. demands that Turkey avoid actions that could result in immediate defensive action.

Hence why they shouldn't have ground troops in Syria in the first place.

This.

Also, it's the attitude of the EU, and other European nations too. Because no matter how much we condemn Turkey, they're doing it for a reason. The EU was supposed to pay Turkey for housing 3,6 million refugees, and Turkey were going to keep those people out of the EU. The Turks have so far been upholding their end of the deal, but the EU has not. Turkey were to receive 6 billion euro to do so, and even then it wouldn't really have been enough to deal with the problems coming from 3,6 million new people. When they didn't get the money, and the EU has distanced itself from Turkey in a lot of areas, Turkey's starting to realize they'll never truly be accepted by the EU, and started looking after their own interests.

We'll see who gives a shit enough to pay for the refugees once they're back in Syria. No doubt Turkey will get condemned for not doing enough for them. But we sure as shit aren't going to pay for them either.
