Jeez, I thought all you guys were dyed in the wool CAPITALISTS! GM acting like a sociopath is exactly what capitalist theory via Milton Friedman calls for. "Greed is good" has been the GOP brand for nearly 50 years since Laffer scribbled his curve on a napkin for Cheney and Rummy. Keeping factories open just to keep workers happy sounds like socialism and welfare to me.
We are only accustomed to dealing with like twenty online personas at a time so when we only have about ten people some people have to be strawmanned in order to advance our same relative go nowhere nonsense positions. -TheReal_ND

You started this thread saying you were curious what wee thought. You provided your viewpoint. Evidently that was Dr. Brewster-Jeckyl's post. Now out comes Mr. Brewster-Hyde with the "AHA! I got you righties!". :hand: :naughty:

They just recalled thousands of Jeeps because they forgot to grease like 27 chassis points.

Good point. I'm reminded the only thing dumber than buying a Government Motors vehicle is buying a Jeep product. Might as well just go get a '74 Gremlin and drive straight into the Mojave.

I worked for Hughes at one point, which was part of GM, so technically I qualify for some kind of ex-employee discount (or did back before 2008 anyways). Of course I've never owned, and don't want to own, a GM car.

I am interested in the mid-engine Corvette coming out. Only GM product I would consider is a Corvette.

Sometimes you have to make a stand. We didn't get the life we had on the backs of pussies that took the shit sandwich.

If Trump was what he claimed to be in 2016, he'd just tariff the fuck out of all GM's vehicles they re-import back into the United States.

If you want to move production to the third world, then you should get treated like a foreign corporation. Tariff anything like that.
