“Protests by groups such as Extinction Rebellion, the recent fires in the Amazon and apocalyptic warnings by the teenage activist Greta Thunberg have prompted a ‘tsunami’ of young people seeking help,” the Telegraph’s science correspondent reported Monday.
“A lot of parents are coming into therapy asking for help with the children and it has escalated a lot this summer,” said psychotherapist Caroline Hickman of the Climate Psychology Alliance (CPA).
“The symptoms are the same [as clinical anxiety], the feelings are the same, but the cause is different,” she said. “The fear is of environmental doom — that we’re all going to die.”
For those of you younger than, say, 38.. stop and imagine how that reads to those of us who grew up during the Cold War when total nuclear war loomed over all of civilization like a very real (not fake) sword of Damocles.
Difference is, I suppose, it wasn't the "certainty" that climate change is being pushed as.

I was figuring it wouldn't be around for me since the 1980s anyways. I'm just turned 55, so 11 years I'd be a year shy of "full retirement age" anyways.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2019 2:51 pmIn any case, I guess we can cancel social security for boomers, since we only have 11 years left.Ph64 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2019 2:23 pmYeah, but we had those nuke-proof wooden desks to hide under.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2019 7:46 am

So how much Sami blood she got? It would explain the eye shape and skin tone. I'm wondering how much of it is alcohol fetal syndrome though.

No Sami blood that I know of. It would be known. She is a celebrity child. Her mother a great singer and her father an actor from a well known actors family. Her grandfather is among other things one of our most beloved voice actors. The mother, Malena Ehrnman comes from Norrland, but from priest- and engineers families. So not Sami. She is a prolific SJW pioneer that did a lot for getting us to take in as many refugees as possible during the crisis. Her opera career is over now that she’s promised not to fly anymore so she’s stuck here in Sweden doing musicals. I don’t think she drank during pregnancy. She’s the health freak kind.TheReal_ND wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 11:51 am
