Because of her professional record rather than her appearance.
How can you take someone seriously when they ask ''How can you take this person serious?''
We take you semi-seriously don't we?

Because she has nothing in her record except she looks to be female that makes her qualified for the position.

And as far as I can tell, her record at that position has not been stellar.
Please provide a link to her service record so we can tell which of your orifices you are talking out of.
My guess is that you have no idea what led to her promotion to the position of regional deputy chief constable and are relying only on your own very obvious prejudices.
If you have a complaint about her performance it should concern her words and actions, not her appearance.
That's the problem, there is no record to show that makes her exceptional at her job. It just says she went through the ranks, it says nothing about how she outshone anyone, making her a perfect fit for the position.

Even on her Wikipedia page, it directs back to the official title, it's as if people don't want you to know anything about her.

As far as I can tell, the only reason she got the job is that the UK lost its balls to stand up and put someone who has a career that shows exceptionalism... instead of mediocrity. Which is why I am guessing why we can't find anything about her career.

She is just there because she's a female... that is my only guess, since we have no facts to go upon.

Trick question. Mr. Peabody is the brains of the operation, but he has to stay in the shadows because nobody would believe a dog could solve all those crimes.
Who are you calling a dog in this scenario?
If it is the deputy chief constable in question I can't disagree but her performance is not related to her appearance.

My point is to not let prejudices inform your opinions.
Look for evidence instead of relying on kneejerk reactions.
At the very least, try to be informed before you open your mouth.

So in other words, you have no information either.

As for your meme, you lost that battle a long time ago.

“We had a number of very strong candidates for the role, however, Rachel’s broad range of skills, excellent operational abilities and commitment to inclusion, fairness and transparency set her apart.
It's an affirmative action hire.

https://www.erewashsound.com/news/borou ... -constable

And if she is making hiring decisions down the line from her position, then I'd expect more affirmative action cancer to run rampant among the ranks of police there.

edit:

More confirmation.
"A group of largely retired, male ex cops have an issue with her 'modern' hairstyle.

"She's a respected, able officer, exactly the sort of person we should encourage to rise to the top of policing.

"There is a lack of diversity at the top and this kind of focus on a female officer's hair is partly why.
https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk ... e-16725837

Translating the misandric newspeak into plain English: actually competent ex-cops are openly disgusted by the absolute state of English law enforcement.

That last part too.. holy fuck. It has nothing to do with her having a vagina. It has to do with the fact that the person you put in charge of the security and safety of countless residents looks like a fucking helpless dipshit. A man who appears like that would not get this fucking job.

So you gloss over
broad range of skills, excellent operational abilities
and
"She's a respected, able officer, exactly the sort of person we should encourage to rise to the top of policing.

"There is a lack of diversity at the top and this kind of focus on a female officer's hair is partly why.
and read between the lines to conclude
It's an affirmative action hire.
OK Columbus.
That's some 4d shit I just can't match.

When diversity codewords are used, yeah, I pretty much gloss over everything else because it's probably vacuous slogans anyway (and it is in this case).

I would instead go to the ex-cops who are actually competent that called a spade a spade.

Frankly, so should you. The rational thing to do -- WHENEVER those diversity codewords are used -- is to dismiss everything this group or writer is trying to convince you to support. Never accept that shit. Not even once.

Thanks for the insight (into the murky recesses of your mind).
