A negotiated exit agreement was sold by every single major campaigner on the leave side. Even the most rabid hard Brexiteers like Farage, Gove and Raab. They told us that a no-deal Brexit and its consequences were ''project fear''. They actively told us that no-deal wasn't going to happen.Hastur wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2019 1:24 amNo one voted for a negotiated exit agreement either. None of those options were on the ballot.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2019 5:11 amWin at all costs and fuck the truth.
Your version of democracy sucks.
Just a reminder,
NO ONE VOTED FOR A NO DEAL BREXIT
How can anyone now tell us that the voters were in favour of a hard Brexit?
The wording on the ballot was overly simplistic and didn't provide a mandate for any of the real-life options.
There is only one way of finding out if the public wants a no-deal Brexit.
Somehow asking the public to vote on it is undemocratic though.
Trying to now tell us that a vote to leave meant leaving by any means is re-writing history to suit the narrative.
It's as meaningless as chanting ''leave means leave'' or ''Brexit means Brexit''.
If I am running you a bath and ask you if you want it ''hot or cold'' and you reply hot am I right to assume that you want it at boiling point even though we both know you will get seriously burnt if you then get in it?
Would ''how hot do you want your bath'' have been a necessary follow up question?
